Ok so I got my new PC today and it can run Crysis. I want to use the sandbox editor but have no knowledge on where to find it. I got mine from the store so nothing Steam involved and its not Warhead or whatever its called

disable uac trough the control panels family and user settings stuff
disable uac trough the control panels family and user settings stuff
Ok so I went to control panel, User Settings and Family safety, and now what? User accounts?
It's called User Account Controll (UAC)
So you don't see any of this? I have my control panel in classic view and this is under User Accounts.
The UAC there brings me to a screen where I can chose when to be notified about my PC
You saw the slider thing with a lot of options? Set it to never notify.
You saw the slider thing with a lot of options? Set it to never notify.
Still doesn't install
Setting UAC to never notify still doesn't do the job as it is still running as a backround app. There are certain tutorials on the internet to completely disable UAC, which is considered to some to be a security risk, but is no trouble with a good antivirus like Avast or Nod32.
Many computer professionals share the opinion that if you don't have UAC all the way up, you might as well have it off. Besides, completely off isn't any more of a risk than running Windows XP, which works fine.
Well I did some searching and it said to slide the notify slider down like ole johan said and reboot. It seemed to install fine now. Thank you all for your suggestions and help
Right click installer, run as administrator.
I had this problem too, i just installed it to another location, and afterwards moved it into the right place.

When I did it, it warned me about how they don't recommend I disable it and yada yada.
Yeah, crytek fucked sandbox installer up, you can't install it to it's correct location even with UAC off. There's a full tutorial for it on crymod.com, I can't remember it to it's fullest extent. [editline]10:44PM[/editline] I prefer the warhead/wars editor that you have to download through a patch.
