I just finished downloading GTA4 this morning and then validated all the files because some of my games have downloaded without major files in them. Anyways, when i launch it it comes up with the Rockstar Social Club thing where on the bottom left you click to play. But when ever i click it it starts to load the says "GTA IV ERROR: Windows XP: Need to have Service Pack 3 or Higher to Proceed." but I'm running Vista 64-Bit. I appreciate the help as it is killing me not being able to play.

You can't install service pack 3 on 64bit?
See its talking about XP, I have Vista.
You aren't trying to run it in compatibility mode or anything strange like that are you?
No, just clicking it in the steam My Games tab then Play on the Rockstar Social thing.
Make sure the exe is not in compatibility mode because vista might have thrown it in compatibility mode.
Are you running GTA4 or Steam in Compatibility Mode?
Neither is, i am running it right now by going into the steamapps/common/gta4/somthing/Run GTA4
The game .exe file is called launchgtaiv i think. Maybe try clicking on that?
Yea that's what I'm using but i want to be able to use it normally, i paid for it so it should work right.

What? So does it work if you click on launchgta4 or what? i didn't get what you just said...
It works when i click it in the folder inside of the programfilesx86 but i added a shortcut to it in steam and i get the same message even though i am using the thing that works.
