Alright, so I recently installed SMOD Tactical, and when I went to the shooting range, I couldn't do shit. There were no weapons, I didn't have a HUD, none of the SMOD key bindings worked, and I couldn't switch between first and third person. I tried playing other maps, but the same thing happens, plus there's no enemies. what the fuck is going on?

Be prepared for disappointment if you try to play the campaign, half the levels are checkerboarded textures from Valve breaking the old mods.

It's funny that you can fix almost all broken HL2 mods with wrong engine version just by editing GameInfo.txt.

Not this, it's the lighting on the maps that is broken, so it all looks weird and broken.
so far, playing through the project life version, i haven't encountered any issues.
are you sure you have Half life 2 installed and mounted correctly?
