Recommend me a good Racing Sim game?

I tried a quick Google search using the query 'Recommend me a good game thread site:facepunch.com' thing but only found a thread in the Valve games section (which I didn't notice until I posted).

I actually considered DiRT 2, so I downloaded the demo. Unfortunately, it won't run for me - do you [i]need[/i] a GFX card that supports DX11 or is something just fucked up?

I tried redownloading as well, but that didn't help. Rebooting failed too.

Wait, rFactor is free, yes? If it's not, that's fine, but can it be bought and downloaded over the Internet? I can always get off my lazy ass and hustle on down to Gamestop or some shit, but I'd like to leave that as a last resort.

Alright, well, as long as no one has any other suggestions, I'm going with Forza 3 for the 360, I guess. I've considered rFactor but I don't want to pay so much for something that seems unpopular and difficult to get used to (the UI... THE UI...).
