I just wanted to know whether or not anyone had played the beta or was planning to buy the game. The "Key to the City: June 12-19" pre-order deal is on and I thought if I'm gonna get it I may as well now. What do you guys think?
I was in the beta since March, and I hated it. The older players dominated the new ones, so much that we couldn't get better. I didn't really like the shooting as much either. Not worth buying or subscribing to.
I played the beta too, it was clunky, laggy and got boring after the first hour or so... It's a cool idea with poor execution in my opinion.
If u ask me it isn't really worth it to p2p
I played the beta and it was amazingly fun with a friend or two. Solo, it's really boring, but it's definetly worth getting if you've got a friend who is getting it.
Most disappointing game of the year and not worth a cent. The combat and missions and everything are just so boring that I can't see it getting better.
I plan on waiting several months, if it shows that it's improved a lot from the beta I'll look at it. But right now I don't plan or recommend on bothering with it.
It's a shame that this seems to have flopped so massively, it looked so promising. The creator and editor is cool, but the gameplay is a crock of shit. Sort of like Spore.
I'll get it when it comes down in price majorly.
It got boring real fast, it was alright for a while and customization was great though. They seem to have focued on customization too much.
I wish they really made a GTA MMO.. this is just the sandbox idea..

Well there's always SA-MP or MTA...
Nobody knows how to play this fucking game. If everyone stuck to their objectives then it would be fun.

I still think with some creativity they could've mixed it up a bit. Even most MMORPGs have more diversity in the missions.

One of the WORST games you could ever buy.
I was like finally, an MMO based on skill and not time played that I would destroy at cause I'm amazing at FPS.
Sadly, it's laggy as fuck for me (prob cause im on an 8600 :( ), and the players who've been playing for longer have infinite ammo explosive round HMGs, and I have a .22 filled with blanks.

I can't disagree with you there. I never really read much about the game, all I know is that it looked cool and that I wanted to try it out. I had no idea what to expect, got around to playing it and thought it was pretty good. I do agree though, the game could of added something fresh and different, hell at some point I thought the game was a complete story that you could play online and do missions with people and shit, totally wrong.
The game is pretty basic, which I can understand why people find it boring, but for me I found it pretty thrilling and intense to do the objectives. I can understand how some may find the objectives boring, I just say that you just really need to get into it. One thing that I am extremely disappointed about is the monthly charge. Even if it is pretty cheap, I really can't decide it if would be worth it, the trial doesn't justify to tell me whether I would get bored of this game at some point. I only have 2 hours left and I am saving it to play with a friend when hes done downloading.

But yeah, you can pay real money to get good guns. Or grind for in game money to get them.
Devs said it'd be purely based on skill, no grinding like most MMOs, yet you get roflstomped by anyone with a better gun.
What is the actual monthy fee or game card for this? I know it's like paying for better parts of the game, so basically if you don't pay you can just socialize and not do anything.

Seriously though, son. I am quite dissapoint. I have been in beta for a while. 24mbit down connection yet it still is slow for some of the streaming things. It was a good idea, but as mentioned, very poorly executed. Also, fuck lag get money. Needs way more optimization.

As a criminal, you can. Either ram a car into a store as mentioned earlier, or mug pedestrians. Both may produce items that can be sold to contacts, but if an enforcer witnesses you and you decide to run, be preparead to loose most of that stuff.
I might on and off for a while the game is fun but is in dire need for some more traditional MMO staples, primarily NPCs and instances so enforcers don't just sit on their asses waiting for a criminal to have fun and blow everything up.
The only thing this game has going is the customisation. The gameplay and everything else is boring as fuck and a load of shit. So dissapointing.
This game pulled a massive spore.
I love the game. Even the KttC alone it is good.
Well if you guys are Enforcers don't accept regular missions. Accept only Dispatches, Bounties or Back up missions.
