Those are mine particles for dods, but they can be used in any ep2 game you want so ep2, gmod, tf2, portal and shit.
First of all, "more"* realistic muzzleflashes for all dods guns.

*more - it does not mean it's 100% realistic and accurate to real world muzzleflashes.
But instead of cotton balls of fire, I prefeer smoke cotton balls.
Hell, those are some really, REALLY awesome particles.

The shockwave from the nades is way too intense and large and the new smoke from the guns extends too far. you can't really hide around the corner when the smoke from your gun goes out 4 feet when you fire.
I do like it though, with a little tweaking it'll be awesome.
The grenade explosion looks fake TBH.
That's because the grenade explosion is abandoned and new one will be made.

The smoke is pretty much default long.
And it's not working for everyone on the server, but only for you, so you can even take it as your adventage.
As for the mg42 I've watched reference videos and I think in reality the smoke can go even further.
the only thing i note is the shockwave is too slow, and it goes way to far, it should fade fast, i think cod4 if i'm correct has some god examples of shockwave use on nades...
Yes I know, in new one the refraction shockwave will fade out fast.
Also I've finally figured out how to prevent big particles aka flashes/glows clip with ground and brushes.
It can be seen in my nuke's initial flash. It looks way better this way and this will work briliant on grenade flash too.
if it's for DOD can you do something about smoke grenades?? the default smoke cloud lags the fuck out of me...
But what do you want me to do?
I can change the particle count to lower, but enlarge the particles so it won't lag or look shit.
However I'm still going to do a version for normal pc's that just spurts some smoke particles.
ok, would you be able to slap together a low-lag smoke nade particle for me?? i don't care if it lookls like shit... but the other particles you have look great...

You need to have occasional muzzle flash along with the smoke, and get rid of the shockwave completely. You're not going to be able to see that unless looking at an explosion through a high-FPS camera.

Or just make it move and fade extremely fast. The new one looks stupid as the shockwave pauses.

It's semi realistic so I'd leave the shockwave alone, although I'd resize it and enlarge transparency.
As for the muzzleflashes I do not know.

i've never implemented custom particle effects into a source game, do I make a particles folder in dod, and place the pcf file in it?
just place the .pcf file into dod\particles.
