Steam being rediculously slow on my GTAIV download? - Games

Hi, I just recently bought GTAIV and its being very slow, only 2% in 40 minutes, the highest KB/s was 175 or something like that, I was wondering if there is a way to make it download faster? Because most games I buy download at 500-800 KB/s and this is just plain rediculous. So please, if you know a way for it to download faster please tell me. Sincerely, truebluesniper

servers are overloaded at the moment.

If I change my download location to Finland when the Steam servers are overloaded it works fine.

I'm downloading gta 4 and it's going ridiculously fast.

Change your download server to siberia or south korea, problem solved.

Their servers are overloaded. I got this days ago trying to download GTA IV. It would go from 1.3MB/s to less than 1 KB/s.

When I got it, it was ridiulously slow, going below 5kb/s at times Took quite a few hours

This is why Steam needs to change to P2P, in my opinion. My GTA IV download is also going slow.

I max out at 1.1MB/s. I can't download any faster than that. You American's should be happy with what you have. Fucking Australia and New Zealand have a tenth of your download speeds.

Same shit happening to me right now,96% and i cant fucking wait to play it god damn wave about 200/500 kb/s I had about 1-3 mb/s in morning My maximum is 10 mb/s by the way.
