i tested the beta and i kinda like it but its something that is missing.... yeah it is the C&C feeling! what the hell is C&C without base building?! its just a big moving crawler/mcv that only can produce units and some few defence constructions and you can earn EXP... RTSRPG mmmm that's just not right i want the normal C&C with real base building :\ the most stupid thing is that you need to collect tiberium manually by commanding a unit to pick it up and deliver it to a team area -.-

They went with the "Make it simpler so we have more action and less thinking" (also known as "Our target market is made out of ADD 12 year olds", example: Transformers 2), which many games are doing (Diablo 3 for example, sure it's not as radical, but it's the same basic principle).
I played it for 5 minutes than quit. I did not like it at all.

They (RA2 & YR) were the last C&Cs for me.
They raped the canon/storyline in TW.
Also Generals is not a C&C, but a decent RTS.
Didn't like it. The older ones were the best in my opinion.

What the C&C franchise needs:
-Go back to 2D (imagine 5GB of 2D content, no more 5 hour campaigns) though this is extremely wishful thinking
-Erase all story progress after RA2 Yuri, so C&C goes back to just after TS and RA just after Yuri.
-Continue the story like it was meant to be, we want the original tiberium (if it ain't broken don't fix it)
Generals was a good RTS (good, not awesome nor great), C&C3 was a good RTS too and RA3 was decent, but they weren't good C&Cs.

They are free to make a game like this anytime they want, but if they are going to completely change the gameplay then that's what new IPs are for.

Why should I encourage them to destroy one of my favorite childhood game series?
It's okay to try something new but dear god a C&C game without base building isn't a C&C game.
I quite liked Generals.
Also, Generals was made by Westwood. EA liquidised Westwood like 2 weeks or something stupid before the release of the game.
Yea, since EA was involved everything went shit, I really liked Tibirian Sun (CABAL was badass in Firestorm) and RA2, and pehaps Generals because the modern warfare but C&C 3 was the biggest dissapointment ever, exept for Spore.

It saddens me that C&C4 has gone so far from the original Command & Conquer. After Red Alert 3 though, I will never be buying a single game with the C&C name on it again.
CnC3 was alright as a game, but it definitely raped the CnC series
Frankly, this one is so bad it isn't even worth pirating for it's name. Unless the demo makes me really buy it, I'll have it pass without even caring about it.

cept that shit isn't C&C. They removed every shit that was C&C.
It's like making a third person game with emphasis on hand to hand combat instead of guns, but having all skins & guns, then calling it "Counter Strike 2"
Surprisingly I liked Generals,
I'd like to see a C&C that's a HELL of a lot more infantry oriented with very few armored vehicles ships and air support, but definitely add those in, just not in the Holy shit this guy built 40 of them before I built my second power plant. Bring back the strategy, the base building and either 2D or a 2.5D-esque Diablo 3/Titan Quest view where you can actually have some sort of depth perception, and I think we're good to go
Until then though, I'll stick to my RA2 and Generals
I really have nothing against C&C3, I very much enjoyed the multiplayer in it. Although I don't claim to have even started the campaign.
But yes, C&C4 looks terrible.
Nobody seems to like it.
I won't even try it, then.
I have followed C&C from the start, and loved the games up to RA2 like most people. And C&C4 doesn't make me angry but dissapoint...
