http://gizmodo.com/5436510/leak-half+life-2-playing-on-project-natal Video in link
From the same party that brought us Geometry Wars on Project Natal, here's a clip of the Microsoft's upcoming motion system handling Half Life 2—the first time anyone's seen Natal playing an FPS. We should mention, the clip comes from an unconfirmed source, but everything about the system is reminiscent to Natal to us—we should say, Natal running a title in early beta. The control scheme seems simultaneously intuitive and awkward in what we're assuming is a proof-of-concept, the user repositioning their view by moving the screen with their hand. Still, while the verdict may be out on how well Natal will handle first person shooters, it's pretty darn cool to see a player control a complex game without a controller between them and the screen. And if you were playing an FPS involving the manipulation of a variety of objects beyond mere guns (imagine grabbing a key, crowbar or, heck, even a flower) what's now just a novelty could become something much more compelling.
OH GOD YES.
Holy Framerate Batman! [editline]11:19PM[/editline] And this looks like it would get really tiring at an event like, say, the breach in Ep2.
Seems interesting, even though I'm not convinced by this Natal thing yet.
also guy in video sucks with having a good camera
How do you pronounce "natal" ?
Naaaa- tao.
How do you pronounce "natal" ?
"Nate-ul" "Nate" like the name. "ul" like the ending of bowl. EDIT: Disregard the above Apparently it's "Nuh-Tall" like the beginning of the name Natalia.
Eww [editline]06:47PM[/editline] I pronounce it like Naytul. I've heard other people pronounce it like Nuhtawl.
That looks awesome, giving the CP a crowbar to the face would be incredibly satisfying.
Its actually a brazillian word. Natal is Christmas in portuguese. Also its the name of the place where one of the creators was born. Rate me I's :smug:

Project Natal is going to be the Wii all over again. Nothing but a big pricey gimmick.
I know a girl named Natalie :smug:
I'd rather shoot it with an AR3, but the city is lousy with AR3's.
yeh those ar3's just arent around anymore
well that looks incredibly gay.

If natal was pc and xbox it would be cool, nice graphics and new way to input (Sorry improved an older one)
The NATAL looks pretty awesome, I was sold when it was first announced, now I'm even more excited.
Still looks awkward, not sure how practical it would be But then again, why be practical in video games?
Looks shit
OMFG HE IS MOVING THE VIEW WITH THE HAND! wait i do it too, but with my hand and a mouse.
I can't see this working out. If it does I'll be surprised but I highly doubt it'll work better than what's already available.
Fuck yeah, this is epic.
If natal was pc and xbox it would be cool, nice graphics and new way to input (Sorry improved an older one)
Microsoft said it was pc and xbox compatible.
No thanks. I will use keyboard and mouse.
It could be fake. There's HDR support in all Orange Box games on Xbox 360, including vanilla Half-Life 2. IIRC Kleiner's laboratory look bit blue-ish on Xbox port - texture quality also look bit high for a port.
looks amazing, but I'm a bit worried at what the firefights are going to be like as it seemed a bit jittery moving about. Although that could be due to the person demonstrating it
