Verify Your Steam Account - Games

First Off, sorry if this thread has been made before I did a quick search to find, but nothing came up Valve have recently added an extra layer of security to the steam platform. This prevents people from changing your password without having to do anything else, now when your password is changed you need to also click on the link in a confirmation email that gets sent to your email inbox to confirm the change. I am bringing this up as in the past months hackers have been on the increase scamming people out of their accounts 1. Log into steam and click on [b]Settings[/b] [img]http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/3508/step1f.png[/img] 2. Click on [b]Verify Email Address[/b] [img]http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/4069/step2a.png[/img] 3. Click [b]Next[/b] [img]http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/458/step3r.png[/img] 4. Wait for the confirmation message to come up then click [b]Finish[/b] [img]http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/4087/step4.png[/img] 5. Go into your email account and look for an email from [b]Steam Support[/b] open it up and click on the link to verify your email [img]http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/7400/step5t.png[/img] 6. You will then be directed to your web browser where you get a message confirming it [img]http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/7408/step6e.png[/img] I hope this helps you all, and helps prevent peoples accounts getting hacked in the future

It's late, yes, but it's a heck of a useful thread.

I verified mine right after PersonGuy made the thread. It's very useful, especially because accidents do happen (not [B]oh man I thought he was really a Valve employee[/B], that's just stupid).
