Basically the title, I never played any MMO's and want to try some, could not find any adequate list in Google so I'm asking here: What are the best MMO's without monthly fee's? I don't care if it's old or new.
Guild Wars is a pretty good game with a lot of expansions and no monthly fee.
Annnd technically, APB isn't a monthly fee MMO either. You pretty much just pay for more in-game time so it won't feel like your wasting money when you're not playing like in monthly fees.

i agree with this. you can get the original guild wars for about £15 now. no monthly fees, the only thing you pay for are the games and the expansions. however, i would wait till guild wars 2 as it is going to be much much better & still without monthly fees.

I don't know, but come on? A Japanese shooter MMO with Robot-Anime Girls?
Life. Free, and has the largest consumer base.

Most unfunny thing I've read all day

As a few others said GW is a great choice. I played it for awhile, pretty awesome game.

Yeah I would probably get one reply there by now. Thanks for the info, guys. I will try Guild Wars
Doesn't world of warcraft have private FREE servers ?
although i'm not too sure of the legallity of them
Cabal online is pretty fun imo..
Erepublik
I heard Global Agenda is kind of fun. My friend has it and plays it every once in a while on steam, so maybe the one-time payment version is not that good.
Runescape is actually pretty good on the free version, the only bad thing is the community.
The member version is good too, but what the hell, man. Jagex almost has more money than Blizzard.

pick neither and you'll be better off in life.
Best one would be Guild Wars 2 when it comes out, I'd dare to guess.
Runescape: though you have to buy to get all the stuff, it still has a shitton of things for nonmembers to do
Lord of the Rings Online

That Firefox Plugin seems like a virus to me. :D
I would copy and paste the "pick two" thing but with Lord of the Rings coming out soon, the SWG Pre-CU emulator in public beta testing and D&D:O already released, that statement is completely invalidated.
I know it says free, but honestly, you won't get as good an experience with all that free shite. Just go and get WoW and dish out the monthly costs. Honestly, I haven't played in a year and a bit, but still, all the memories from that game are good. It was a good time-waster and was definitely worth the money.
PS: Buy time cards from cheap, good chinese sites.

I'm pretty sure they're all illegal.
