• Low-End MMO's?

It seems here that most of the MMO's that are talked about on here usually require a decent to good computer. With that said, is there any very good low-end MMO's out there? I have an Acer Aspire One with 1.5gb RAM, so it can't run much other than soloing on WoW. And that pisses me off, because I can't afford a good desktop, and this netbook is all I have. So are there any good MMO's out there that will run on this thing with a good fps rate? In b4 Maplestory. I prefer 3 dimensions.
Runescape.
Not browsers, I mean real MMO's. Like downloaded and shit. I've tried pretty much everything but nothing works efficiently.
Runescape is a real MMO, and it's not that bad of a game.
If you want 3-D and can't handle WoW, you're not likely to be able to handle much else. You could try Runes of Magic or Anarchy Online, though.

Allods online, maybe? In beta stages at the moment.
Hahaha... ahahhahahahaahhaahahhaha... are you serious?
Yes. The quests are decent (way better than WoW, for the most part), and the skills are fun to level when you have nothing better to do.

Just answer his questions.
MUD's They are as low end as you can get, but can still be fun.

Ketchup is right, Runescape really isn't that bad. It's just that the community of 12 year olds ruins it for any sensible person wanting to play it.
Endless online. Quite a few people still play this game.
Hahaha... ahahhahahahaahhaahahhaha... are you serious?
The game itself is okay. The community on the other hand...
EVE. I must admit, I haven't tried undocking in EVE with a netbook, just the station lagged enough.
Anarchy Online. Pretty fucking good MMO. Theres a thread in here I think.
For a browser based mmo runescape is a great game.
I would say wurm online and haven and hearth for low end MMO's, but they can be damn processor intensive.
mmo's
City of Heroes
Toon Town.
Ryzom, Asheron's Call, Dark Age of Camelot, EverQuest, Shadowbane, Ultima Online. Don't even think about Runes of Magic, it will tear your netbook apart.
Hahaha... ahahhahahahaahhaahahhaha... are you serious?
Bandwagon some more. The community is crappy, but it's not a bad game, I played it for a good 2 or so years when I was like 14. So my suggestions are: Runescape, Anarchy Online, or Guild Wars (runs surprisingly well on a crappy PC) Runescape is going to be easiest to get into, I might download AO to try on my netbook also, it's quite a well respected game.
I had a really crappy Acer laptop that could easily run WoW, though it would overheat after 14 hours. Good thing I rarely play that long at a time... except yesterday. But I see you played that, so I really don't know. EVE Online? Was much less laggy than WoW and NEVER overheated. Even in large battles. Usually you can find a certain spot to meet up with buddies quietly easily enough. You know, talking about 12-year-olds reminds me of yesterday when my friend and I decided to troll some kid. He said "Let me be your friend plzzzzzzzzzz" so we said "OK" and he followed us around for a bit in Fargodeep Mines. Eventually he got killed when I drew 4 kobolds and he decided to take on 2(I was level 27 at the time and helping out my friend). He soon died when his health got low and he ran into another kobold. Then we told him he couldn't be our friend anymore because he got killed and he cried.

WoW isn't to heavy once you disable those fucking shadows.
you can try Grand Fantasia (http://mmohut.com/review/grand-fantasia) if you can stand the anime styled cartooney graphics. it seems to have a nice amount of quests and the grind isn't felt, at least at low levels. it's pretty cute and fun.
eve on minimum settings, it runs on everything on low but still looks decent. I run on my eee pc with 512mb ram and a 900mhz celeron on all low about 24 fps I'm soon to get another 512mb or 1gb of ram so that should enhance it but in all seriousness eve runs on everything.

DOMO is pretty good game and it should run a older computer.
