Because I have a mod I want to install for it, and the intel doesn't do shit. :frog:

Seriously, I'm bored and I am in need of info because I'm poor and I can't get any better games. :gonk:
Facepunch isn't the best place for that question, really.
And did you use Google first?
an
Yes, and I can't find anywhere else to ask the question.
Single player is a totally different Exe so it shouldn't do much, atleast that's what I think.

Uh, okay. If you say so.

For this I think a forum about the actual game would be better than a forum where 98% of the people hate MW2 and everything it stands for, don't you?
I can't help, but what does the mod do, exactly?
an
"An" comes before vowels and vowel sounds. Since you pronounce the letter "M" as "em", it makes sense.

It enables a console so I can basically just dick around in the campaign. Sounds pretty fun to me :v:

And just now I realize that Facepunch hates that game

On it's own you do, but not in a word. By that logic it's pronounced em-oh-dee-ee-ar-en (Emodearen) warfare. It's not even em-odern warfare.
By your logic it's:
An Letter ("el")
An fight or an fear ("eff")
An normal day ("en")
An robber ("ar")
An xylophone ("ex")
All of the above are wrong.
And comes before a vowel. Fact. Not something that sounds like a vowel. Certainly not something that sounds like a vowel in a different context. The only exception is possibly the consonant H since in some languages that is a vowel and that leaves residue in other languages.

Sorry, grammar (language?) Nazi.

MW2 is an acronym so it's ok to pronounce it in the way he's describing. He's pronouncing it "Em double yew two".
I asked a question and this is what i get.
MW2 is an acronym so it's ok to pronounce it in the way he's describing. He's pronouncing it "Em double yew two".
I didn't take into account the fact that people actually read/use acronyms literally. I read them as the full title, the concept of saying/thinking/reading "Em double yew two" is alien to me. Weird.
Hmm. I'm now having real difficulty deciding where I stand on this. I can't seem to work with pronouncing capitols, since I don't do it in the language. If I work on the basic rules of "an" going with vowels, when M is a consonant that my argument stands. But if you work on the basis that an acronym acts like a word made of sounds made by the letters that make it, then my argument is truly invalid.
I actually don't know how to handle this, since the concept is not something I do, and so, is hard to visualise/work with.
I'll concede to let this be acceptable, and let my personal judgements on it be my own. AKA, I'll agree to disagree.

It's just vowels isn't it?
It amazes me how a simple question about Modern Warfare 2 caused all this. :froggonk:

Someone lock this thread, please. It drives me nuts when no one listens to me. WAIT A SECOND.....
Look on the bright side, if it does then nothing of value is lost.

But in most cases, it shouldn't. If it does, just back up the stuff you overwrite.
I know, but I mean will it get me VAC banned or something. Oh hell with it, I'll try it.
VAC banned? No VAC is only in source games. MW2 has it's own separate anti-hack system.
