I'm not pre-ordering anything, and my birth-day is on Jan 24, very soon. I'm kind of interested in Red guerilla faction and Left 4 Dead 2. I already got Modern warfare 2 and Forza 3, and I only have Xbox 360 and Wii.
I'm a guy that likes a huge area, like GTA 4, that likes everything destroyable, like Mercenaries 2 (Awesome game) and day/night time. I also like killing lot's of people, or having a big contraption and causing mass terrorism.
Just wait for either Mass Effect 2, or go for Just Cause 2. Fits the "Destroy everything, MASSIVE world, kill people in tons of way" mantra.
I might go for Mass Effect 2 and Star-craft 2 (DEFINITELY) , but they ain't released before Jan 24 2010.
Mercenaries 2 was a shitty game.
When I meant by "Destroy everything" I mean by that anything can be destroyed, and have debris everywhere. Mercenaries 2 had that = )

Save it for Mass Effect 2 if you've played ME1.
L4D2 is better than Red Faction Guerilla imo.

RFG is $20, I don't see why you can't get that AND something else
RFG sucks, the vehicle physics are totally godawful and so are the controls in general, and the physics are buggy
I suggest Army of Two: The 40th Day. It's a great game if you have friends. Single player is okay too, but it's way better with two.

What he said. The destruction physics didn't live up to the hype, it wasn't even close to what they were bragging about during development.
Go for Just Cause 2. Seriously. It gives you every possible way to finish a mission.

FIRST!!! Does Just Cause 2 have a free mode? A way where we can go out of missions, do random stuff, kill citizens, blow up building what you don't have to, like Mercenaries 2?

I'm pretty sure it plays roughly the same to a GTA game - missions are activated through going somewhere [i]during[/i] the "Free mode."
