Can I run Battlefield Bad Company 2? Core 2 Duo vs. Intel Pentium Dual?

Looking at the system requirements lab it says I don't meet the minimum requirements for it, but my bro says I can. Could I still play it or should I cancel my preorder?
CPU
Minimum: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0 GHz
You Have: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz
Any core 2 duo is faster than any pentium dual core. I'm too lazy to look it up but there was a performance test and a 1.6ghz core 2 duo beat a 4ghz pentium dual core. So i'm guessing you won't be able to run the game.
Minimum requirements are usually higher than the completely bare minimum. You will probably be able to run it, but this is the first game using the engine, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

It's using the frostbite engine that was used in bf:bd, bf:1943 but yeah it's the first time that it's coming to pc. However, according to DICE they made significant changes to the pc version of the engine which also supports Dx11.
Horribly inaccurate. I wouldn't trust any of those system requirements websites. They either say you can't run it when you can actually run it maxed, or they'll say you can run it and you'll get 1FPS.
They're not that backward. if SysReqLab say you can barely run it, you probably won't be able to, if it says you can't you might do fine.
OP, you need a new processor to run that game.
Probably not.

(I'd put it in media tags, but Garry disabled them for images....)
It says I'm below the minimum, yet I can run it fine on Medium-High settings. Like I said, horribly inaccurate site. Don't trust it.
AHAHAHA! So you're telling me that you're running crysis warhead on high settings with a pentium D and a graphics card that's slower than a 6800gt (the pic is cut off)! BULL FUCKIN HORSE SHIT!

It says I can run Mass Effect really fast, but I only get about 15FPS in it.
Facepalm, really fast =/= 15fps! Anything below 30fps is unplayable!

It doesn't recognize my video card
Hello, can you read? I didn't say I ran it really fast, I'm saying what the site says and how fast I actually get.
And my card is an 8600GTS. I didn't say I ran on high, just medium with some high settings through a config file(like god rays, HDR, SSAO, edge aa). I also never said I get good framerates on Crysis Warhead, I only manage around 25-30FPS with these settings, but that's playable enough for me.
I don't understand how you could misinterpret "It says I can run Mass Effect really fast, but I only get about 15FPS in it.". I clearly state the site tells me it can run really fast, yet I only get 15FPS....THUS, like I said earlier, the site is horribly inaccurate.
Try actually reading a post before you reply to it next time.

Only about 20FPS in that screenie because of the boss. Usually around 25-30. And just because <30 FPS is unplayable for you doesn't mean it's unplayable for everyone.
But enough of this, we are getting off topic.
Rated myself bad reading.
Since this thread has a OP asking a question, I'll ask a similar question too. I have a Pentium D too (2.99GHZ), and it lags horribly in Prototype. I probably can't run BFBC 2 right? (Planning to upgrade anyway).

I ran the System Requirements Lab on BC2 but, like as posted above, it thinks my HD4870 is an "ATI Display Adapter" that doesn't meet the recommended requirements. Everything else was way past it and the recommended was a 4870 or above, so I'm all set to go.

Hmm... I'm not so sure about that.
Also OP, what is your video card?
So I'm guessing I shouldn't get it until I can get a new hard drive? (Want to play on decent settings not low) My computers getting old :sigh:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz
2.19HHz, 2.00GB of RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT

seems like I can run it fine. but I don't know if the PC version or the Xbox 360 version will be better, guess I'll wait for reviews.
They are going to release a demo right after the pc beta, so just wait for that.

My adblock plus stopped working for Firefox once I went to Windows 7, maybe I just need to reinstall.
And Google Chrome doesn't have it yet, i think.

Oh shit! I better upgrade my graphics card!

That seems more reasonable.

Oh cool.

Yes.. YouGamers is more reasonable.

Or maybe not, I have great performance on high settings with the highest resolution on my monitor.
If only I had Vista or Win7, fucking Dx10.
