Red Faction: Battlegrounds is an upcoming arcade game available on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Store. The game mostly handles the top-down view and will be released some time before Red Faction: Armageddon. By getting certain Achievements and Trophies in the game, the player will unlock bonus content for Red Faction: Armageddon.

I personally think it looks decent.

What's with all these new top down shooter games? Anyway, I think it looks decent but I have another top-down shooter in mind.
I'm really not a fan of 'play our arcade game to unlock bonus content' gimmick that is going around.
And how the hell does this fit in with the Red Faction universe? Looks like a completely generic top-down arcade shooter.

No Red Faction has or will live up to the original on PS2... That is the truth... the entire genre was changed since then, and it won't go back to the way it was, and everyone should be sad about that. BRING BACK THE GEO-MOD!

I want to go back to the very beginning, before the miner rebellion and experience what it was like for the miners. Sort of a prequel to the first.
What fun would that be? Life in the mines of a prison colony?

I meant the early days of the rebellion. So being secretive etc maybe, I don't know. :saddowns:
It's sad that an old PS2 game has more cohesive environmental destruction / damage then all of its sequels. :v:
