anyone know and games that are good for multiplayer teamwork?
and i DON'T mean games that have team deathmathch, i'm talking about games where teamwork and co-ordination are a major part.
so far the best i've played are gears of war and nazi zombies in world at war.

Not everyone plays on 24/7 2fort or other shitty servers, aka the servers that are all about grinding and no coordination.

those servers are so much fun though
anyway, killing floor is a good team work game in my opinion
Left 4 Dead if you're playing with a good team.
There needs to be a command structure built into the game for teamwork to be common (even then it's not guaranteed). Right now most games just dump 16 guys on each team into an area and tell them to kill the other team.
meh people will always do what they want

This only works in closely organized groups of players such as Shack Tactical or your typical competitive gaming clan.
then everyone will want to be the commander
I described it wrong. There wouldn't be one guy in charge, just because everyone thinks they'd make a great leader. Instead everyone would have the ability to mark an area, like a choke point or defendable position. If you kill while in an ally's area, or kill an enemy in an ally's area, you get extra points and the guy who marked the area gets points for each of your kills (like one point, maybe two, nothing reduculous). To stop people spamming marks only 2 can be put down at any time per team (they'd last about 30 seconds), and to prevent one guy spamming marks whenever they wear off you only get 2 or 3 per game.
Also, you wouldn't get extra points for killing in your own marks, but you would recieve a (very) small health boost to encourage you to stick around.
Well shit like how many you'd get and how long they last would be worked out in play testing, and it's only an idea I don't see anyone else coming up with anything.
Also, 2 marks is meant so the team works together to hold a position, not just throw down a mark with one guy in it, that would restrict the rest of the team. They get only a couple of marks per game to discourage people being idiots by throwing them down randomly.

It's too bad nobody actually plays as a team though.
Team work? In a VIDEO GAME?! HAH!
There has to be some kind of roles to make good teamwork. And not in the way that each role concentrates on one type of weapons or enemy, more like each role can help other teammates in someway, such as a medic.
Mechwarrior Living Legends mod for Crysis. Excellent teamwork at times there.
Bad company 2

Not necessarily, look at L4D
what i really want i somting like mag, except everone does what they are supposed to do
Rainbow Six pulls this off nicely.
I'm at a doorway with a sign saying "WAITING FOR BRAVO; PRESS K WHEN READY", I hear them report in, I hit K and shit starts getting badass with the quick "breach & eliminate".
ArmA 2 if you are playing in a clan with mics. Can lead to very epic games.
Forgot about Natural Selection. Lots of teamwork is required to play as both the marines and the aliens.
