I feel bad when insulting in games. - Games

Most online shooters, MMORPG's and countless other online games all have those "over the internet tough guys" who insult, mock and bully everyone, calling them old and diluted names such as "noob" or "You fucking cock sucking tosser". When I see this behavior I try and defend the victim, usually by explaining that everyone is new at one point or, "speak proper English before you insult another person you cracker." I've tried insulting the insulters themselves, but I feel bad, even if they're being total ass's to others I still feel down for being insulting to them. I often tell myself it was justice, fate, or karma using my pimp hand but.. I just don't feel right about it. Anyone else the same way?

I don't like insulting people in games. It makes you look like a douche who's so lacking in self confidense that a single kill is like some grand event you have to rub in someone's face. Big fucking whoop, you killed me, one of us was going to die.

On the topic, if a player is constantly trolling, acts like a douchebag, then he deserves it.

In shooters I sometimes see a lot of whining, especially Cod 4. Someone literally said "wow, shotgun marty camper, l2p COD4". 1. Martyrdom - run away from the grenade, dumbass, there's always space to run away 2. Shotgun - assault rifle or SMG is just as good at ripping people apart close range, using spray+pray. 3. Camping - if someone's lying there and you seriously cannot kill him you're pretty dim. Maybe when I get killed by the grenade launcher thing it feels a bit unfair, because you can just aim somewhere nearby and have a free kill pass. That's the only thing I seriously think is overpowered and it's not like I go in chat yabbering how the killer is a noob and he's playing the game wrong. If anything if someone was telling me not to use some perk or weapon I'd want to use it more to spite him. I don't know, whiners in games really annoy me and I have no problem slagging them off.

It rewards people for death and punishes your killer for doing what he was meant to do.

It's not that bad. It is annoying when you kill someone and suddenly have to leg it, though, I'll admit that.

I don't feel bad when insulting. I can't grief tho. If I ever try to grief i just feel bad and don't do it.

I do this too sometimes.

I only insult people when they are being annoying fuckers, or if they are little kids who are being annoying fuckers (which is all the time when they use their fucking mics) hell when I was a little kid I always left my fucking microphone off, so really I don't feel bad at all for them.

It's life. You can't have empathy just because the douche want's you to.

Insults are best when they are in good spirit. Like when you threaten to rape someone and their entire family for a few weeks in your basement the tenth bloody time that guy stabs you in the back as a spy in tf2. :P
