• Consistency of instances?

Given, I'm only level 36, but it seems to me that there are three different types of groups in instance runs. The Well Running Group: Goes through multiple instances together, very quickly and efficiently. The Standard Group: Does one run, tank/healer may leave in the middle and screw everyone over. The Why Did You Waste My Time? group: Someone in the group goes AFK as soon as it starts, or we wipe immediately because of a bad tank, idiot priest, or the mage that thinks we're pulling too slowly. My question is, does this ever get better at higher levels? I love instance runs because of the XP and gear drops, but it's almost faster grinding sometimes.
Well, as you level you are more and more likely to make friends/join a guild. When you have friends and/or guildies to do instances with, then everything goes smooooth. All my friends are, unfortunately, well into their 80s. I basically gave up on instances at level 60 and just started grinding the shit out of quests. I now do my dailies, but I just can't wait to ding 80 and get a group with an 80 Paladin tank decked out in Epics and an 80 Death Knight DPS who can rape face.
as far as xp per hour goes, it's faster questing than using the RDF
as far as xp per hour goes, it's faster questing than using the RDF
I usually quest while queued, and then go back to questing after. How is that? PS, to anyone who plays paladin: I've read that I should respec Protection at level 40 to AoE grind, I'm currently retribution specced. What is your opinion?
yea when you're in a good guild everything goes a lot smoother
as far as xp per hour goes, it's faster questing than using the RDF
Agreed
I always end up in the last type of group, every single time. I had once just got into Zul Farrak and the tank said "wait here, don't move", he proceeded to run straight through every mob and get killed in seconds. Then he just left while we asked him why he did that. And then there are the tanks that run ahead after the healer asks for a mana break several times. And the healers that spam "go go go go go" when we're not moving for 5 seconds.
You are forgetting one type. The one where the person who clicks tank is not geared, specced, or willing to actually tank in the instance. you dont need bubble
It gets a little bit better when you hit 80, people at low levels can be first time players that don't know what they are doing. There are always going to be retards who don't know how to play or sign up for the wrong thing.
For me it really never got better. Pretty sure most of the people i get in a group with are 12 year olds.
