punkbuster sucks assholes - Games

fucking punkbuster, how do i start. i am playing a game of call of duty 4, i was on a role, when i get kicked from a game "punkbuster has kicked you from a game, reason: lolhax" oh my god this makes me rage beyond belief. tl;dr punkbuster sucks and it should be replaced with VAC or something less shitty. Im confused. OP refers "punkbuster" as a character, while the latest post refers as him being a program?

Disable steam overlay. Valve fucked up and now punkbuster thinks steam overlay is a hack.

If it kicks you for "External program or driver" It should be fixed.

Do that or manually update PB

File > Settings > In-game > Untick.

Punkbuster removes me from games in BF2142, and I can't even play shit anymore. Never hacked in my life, i don't know what it wants me to do,

PunkBuster shuts my Project Reality game down. I have absolutely no fucking idea how or why.

Did you try bypassing it? It's not so legal and is pretty buggy but it normaly works for me.

After two kicks I just gave up since I wasn't dying to play anyways. Good to know that it was Steam overlay :o

punkbuster is the worst it gave me so many problems a long time ago with ravenshield

Odd. I used to have PB issues with BF2 untill I launched it via steam.

We get it, PunkBuster sucks, stop stating the obvious. Noone likes PunkBuster.

Sadly some of the best games are tainted by PunkBuster :frown:

Shitbuster. :D I use to get kicked on wolf:et loads ages back, because i needed to fucking update 24/7, FU PUNKBUSTER!

Punkbuster used to work like a charm. Kicking cheaters and leaving me be. The punkbuster site should provide you with info on how to fix your kicking issue. (evenbalance)

my only concern is the one game i used it for(AA3)made it start checking BEFORE the game, which is more than enough time to be left out of the match(although i only played 1 match before uninstall XD) they really should replace it with VAC

I hate Punkbuster too, but if you're having problems you should try this. Step One: Delete the contents of the "pb" folder in the game's directory.
