Me and my friend went into the ICT room the other day and there were a whole bunch of people playing some FPS on a lan which seemed like to fun thing to do at school. Im pretty sure the game was called Termulous or something and you have a team of humans and aliens. Im looking for any lan game that you can install or play from a flash drive that is fun! And its better if they are free too lol. I might try hedgewars but honestly it gets boring fast (for me atleast). That FPS they were playing looked a but like quake and quite fun if you know that game do you know anymore like it? Is there a free quake out there somewhere? We cant play BF heroes or quake live at school :(
Teeworlds is a pretty fun multiplayer game, its not FPS but it is shooter.
Soldat is good fun.
You can run Cortex Command off of a USB stick
You can run Cortex Command off of a USB stick
You can? I must try this.
Cortex command looks pretty cool and fun. Im DL'ing it now. The other ones look cool too I will give them a go
We had Halo the demo at school, and WAO WEE... That was Heck a lot of fun. Our mega nerds combined their hacking skills together and got passed the IT peeps in the IT labs. It lasted for about 5 years, then last year they removed it. I still remember sitting in IT in Year 9 Finished my work (for once) about an hour early, and just sitting there playing the Demo with everybody else in the class, sure the graphics were on medium, BUT IT WAS STILL A HECK OF FUN!!!
On my school we used to play the portable version of Assaultcube, though you will still need to install a normal version somewhere so you can host a LAN server.
counterstrike 1.6 portable version runs of a usb (User was banned for this post ("Warez" - Benji))
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but at school shouldn't you be doing school work, and not playing video games?

Old dos shit :iia:
counterstrike 1.6 portable version runs of a usb
portable version  Also, I played Uplink off of my flash drive.
Counterstrike 1.0 is cool to play on lan
Star Wars: Dark Forces 1 and 2
Unreal Tournament, good game and it's around 500Mb so it fits nicely on a cheap 1Gb pen drive.
counterstrike 1.6 portable version runs of a usb
We had this and Quake 3 arena some years ago. Even played in LAN. Good times :')
Warzone 2100 Portable
Elona, Dwarf Fortress, IVAN, any roguelike will kill time and provide amusement for you and friends.
Elona, Dwarf Fortress, IVAN, any roguelike will kill time and provide amusement for you and friends.
Well, maybe not Dwarf Fortress. After all, the average school computer is pretty shitty, an you'll need at least a decent computer for DF.

I also recommend using emulators. GBA, SNES, maybe even n64 emulators and games will all fit on a flash drive.
I bet that this could run off of a USB. http://action.mancubus.net/ I haven't tried, though.
My school blocks .exe with group policy and the command prompt is blocked by administrator. And they use IE6
GTA 3. Just make sure that you move the save files to the USB afterwards.

First 2 call of duties, this year me and my friends played LAN all the time and it was great! Until some douches stole my friends flash drive and gave the game to everyone.
DotA, Starcraft etc
http://portableapps.com/apps/games
That was quite a shit list.
That was quite a shit list.
better than nothing.
