Hey guys, I did a System Requirements Lab scan on Half-Life 2 to see if my computer can run CSS, DODS, etc. See that? My computer passes the recommended specs for all Source games.
--------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel(R) GMA 3100 DAC type: Internal Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_29C2&SUBSYS_020D1028&REV_02 Display Memory: 286 MB Dedicated Memory: 0 MB Shared Memory: 286 MB Current Mode: 1440 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor Driver Name: igdumd64.dll Driver Version: 7.14.0010.1409 (English) DDI Version: 9Ex BGRA Supported: Yes Driver Attributes: Final Retail Driver Date/Size: 5/5/2008 03:40:22, 3748864 bytes
Those are my video card specs. Whenever I attempt to play CSS in offline mode with no bots, the FPS is 10. The game is virtually unplayable past the menu screen. Can you guys help me out here?
You have an integrated video card, there's nothing you can do.
Thank you for the helpful input.
Thank you for the helpful input.
I don't think you understand
Card name: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
Laptop integrated chips aren't designed to run games. Unless your laptop has a changeable slot (Which is very unlikely), there is literally nothing you can do. You'll be stuck with below 10 fps on all low settings.
This isn't a laptop, bro. This is a desktop. My parents' computer isn't made for gaming. :sigh:

I've never used an fps config, but it says that you'll gain about 32 fps using this config, so no reason not to go for it. http://counterstrikesourcetactics.blogspot.com/2008/01/getting-shitty-fps-and-lag-caseys.html
