Or we'll dive bomb you're small boat. [B]Info[/B] Battleground Europe(WWII Online) is an MMOFPS set during WW2 made by Cornered Rat Software. Involving all around warfare from sea, air, or infantry combat this game takes the list as being one of the first WW2 MMO's. Every campaign either the Axis or Allies can win. [B]Choice of Profession [/B]Battleground Europe offers probably one of the most interesting trees I've ever seen in MMO's... Instead of forcing the player on one tree the player can go back, and forth from... Navy, Airforce, and Army. Depending on the current situation, and where the fight is taking place. For example... During Campaign 50, I was with the 24th Panzer Brigade, and instead of operating with tanks I would do strafe runs on enemy positions with my trust Bf-109 or Bf-110. [B]Players Commanding Players[/B] Unlike many games where most activity is based on group the whole game is runned by the players. Every new campaign a group of players are selected from the high ranks or volunteers are chosen to be the Generals of the campaign. So this adds somewhat of an RTS feel to this big mmo field. [B]Production/Supplies [/B]This will probably downgrade a few idiots in the campaign.. During the campaign their is also a number of factories scattered through out the map. Enemy teams will usually attempt to use bomb raids or para trooper drops... Oh wait! Did I forget to mention that? This game has para troopers! I've been wanting to try this game but they don't accept paypal for the trial so I'm kinda fucked.

Honestly Its decent but not worth the money. I believe its 15 a month correct me if i'm wrong. Things that kill it. *Its ridiculously empty vast amounts of land with nothing besides grass texture. * Its glitchy and laggy. * The graphics are pretty dated 2003-4 I honestly do not see where the 15 a month goes to. If they somewhat re-made it updated graphics, Fixed some bugs, Filled the world better. I'd say its good. But as of right now its a dieing game with not much hope of renewal

Yeah pretty much... Update 1.31 updated a lot of shit including graphics.

Anyone else notice that in the video with the paratroopers it is extremely glitchy looking?

Physics plus veichiles haven't been the most stablelized. The only engine which really has done a good job with players in vesicles is Unreal Engine.

The idea behind this game is the best ever. Too bad the gameplay is too clunky and the dated graphics ruin the atmosphere. If they ever decide to move on to a better engine i'd happily pay 15 euros a month to play it.

While it still looks slightly outdated, it's miles further than what it was before. Graphics don't make a game btw.

I would play it, but the graphics look awful. The idea is amazing, and I hear the gameplay is pretty good.

It has a very mature community, which I love. It's a lot like EVE Online with a heavily inclined learning curve, so you tend to find a lot of older adults on it. The leader of my squad when I played was well in his 50's. Nice British guy.

I would love to play this game, but 15 a month is very steep for a game that has bad graphics and is glitchy. The idea seems perfect though.

last time i tried to play this it refused to work most likely from me using windows 7 when it just came out have they updated it so windows 7 is compatible?

This looks like planetside, except in WWII and a bit uglier.

I've really been wanting to play this and I've got a few extra bucks (plus one of my cousins is in Axis high command and has been wanting me to play it for a long time). Worth the money? I mean is it one of the better MMO choices out there?

It's worth it if you like putting time into it, If you can get a group of friends in ventrilo the game is a blast (Group bombers,Group paradrops etc). But if alone not so much

Alone is just fine. Also, actually look at the game. The graphics improved and the engine was redone. Bugs are rare. And the only instability with props is the parachute. Nothing else.

This game is excellent. I've been playing for 3 years and my only problem is that EVERYBODY FUCKING BANDWAGONS WITH AXIS! The only reason Axis wins all the time, is because their population. The Allies have more experienced people, more dedicated people, and are better fighters than all the axis. Fucking bandwagoners.

Well i really want to try the game, but i dont want to have to put in a credit card, as i dont have one just to try the trail. Is there any way to get around it just so i can try the game first, then if i like it i can put my info in to buy?
