Got a new system the other day. It's my first in a long while so I'm waaaay out the loop in terms of gaming but I'd love to get back into it. I'm looking for a FPS to start out on and I really liked the ideas used in CoD (on my mates PS3) where you can customise your abilities/weapons. I've read that the PC version isn't the greatest of ports and was wondering if there was anything with similar levels of customisation on the PC? Any titles suggested that I could go research a bit would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

COD4 was actually pretty awesome on the PC.
Yeah modern warfare 2 is really frustrating but mw1 is really good.
