Since search doesn't work and I don't know how to search in Google to check only this subforum to try to find the Dead Space megathread, I'm having to post this since I'm in dire need of help.
I'm working on Level 10. I seem to be having a problem with getting the three things needed to get to the escape shuttle. Namely the Crew Key.
It's not the fact I can't handle the enemies, but I believe my game has glitched. Now I KNOW I got the Crew Key. And I also got two of the Nav Cards I could access. But when I approach and try to access the door that requires the Crew Key, it tells me that the key is needed.
I picked up the key before, as I mentioned. But my inventory only shows me having the Singularity Core, and the two Nav Cards. No Crew Key. Going back doesn't reset where the key was.
Is there a way I can just restart the level and try this again, without having to go through the entire game?
I think this is probably a glitch, you could download a save at the beginning of chapter 10 but I can't find any.
It shows I did find the Crew Key. The objective has been completed. But like I said I'm not seeing it in my inventory.
I wonder if I dropped it or something.
You shouldn't be able to drop it, but if possible i'd revert to a save from before you picked up the card. (Ironically I just replayed this game for the first time in awhile today as well.)
That sounds like pretty shitty luck. I had a savegame at the start of every map in case I really blew it big time.
That is why I keep 2-4 saves with any game I play.
