So just yesterday, I beat Half Life 2: Episode two, while carrying the Gnome from the first level, where Alyx comes in contact with Magnussun, Kliener and Eli. After a long time, I was facing the rocket door, open, and holding the gnome with my gravity gun. I placed the gnome inside the rocket, and then did the breach protection and huge strider battle. *SPOILER* The rocket was sent, Eli died, credits rolled. When the credits were over, I checked my achivements list, and Little Rocket Man was still on my not completed list.
Help me. please.
Reload the last save point, and try again from there, instead of playing the whole game again.

Sv_cheats 0 Right before you put the Gnome in. And, you must close the silo missle door.

So, I have to do the strider battle over again?
You unlock the achievment just by closing the small door while the gnome is inside.
I wouldn't really worry about doing the strider battle again, if you already got the achievement "Neighbor Watch" or, something like that.
You can pick up a piece of debris and set it's entity name to gnome to get the achievement. It's cheating, of course, but in your case you have already met the requirements to get the achievement.
You closed the door of the rocket, right?
I think you get it as soon as you close the rocket's door.

Your supposed to put it in the rocket when you meet magnissun. Theres a little hatch on the rocket, and you stick it in there and close it.

sv_cheats 1;ent_fire !picker setname "<name>";sv_cheats 0, that way it doesn't disable achievements :).
[code]ent_setname "gnome"[/code] is easier, and I don't think it requires cheats. Just have the crosshair over the item.
The white plastic barrels with orange lids work well. There are a couple of them around before you get to the rocket.
Oh, and [B]don't cheat the achievement with this[/B].
or instead of cheating like a pansy you could toss Chomski in the back and drive like the car is made of glass.
I always hated this achievement. Put gnome in car -> Drive five feet -> Gnome falls out -> Repeat
