It was released in 1997 for the PlayStation video game console, DOS and Microsoft Windows in North America, Australia and Europe. The game was released under the title Abe a GoGo in Japan for the PlayStation by publisher SoftBank, with a PC version following in 2001.[4] Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee was the first game in the planned five-part Oddworld Quintology, which includes Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee.[5] The game centers on the titular Abe, a Mudokon slave working at the RuptureFarms meat processing factory on Oddworld. When he discovers that he and his friends face death at the hands of their desperate master, he decides to escape and aid as many enslaved Mudokons as he can along the way. The player assumes the role of Abe, and must escape from the factory before embarking on a perilous quest to restore his once noble people. Abe's Oddysee was widely acclaimed for having innovative gameplay, good graphics[6] and engaging cut-scenes; however, its large learning curve and system of saving only at checkpoints received criticism.[7][8]

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a multi-award winning[2] platform video game developed by Oddworld Inhabitants and published by GT Interactive. It is a sequel to the video game Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. It is considered a bonus title in the Oddworld series, and not part of the main Oddworld Quintology. It was released in 1998 for the PlayStation video game console and Microsoft Windows for North America, Europe and Australia,[3] and in 1999 for the PlayStation in Japan.[4] It was re-released on the PlayStation Network on October 22, 2009.[5] The game continues the story of Abe, charting his efforts to save his fellow Mudokons from another plot by the Glukkons to exploit them. Abe discovers that the Glukkons are enslaving Mudokons, this time to produce a drink called Soulstorm Brew, which uses Mudokon bones and tears as its ingredients. The player assumes the role of Abe, embarking on a quest to halt production of Soulstorm Brew. The game was released to similar critical acclaim as the first title. Reviews praised the game's ability to allow the player to QuikSave anywhere they liked, a feature that was not present in Abe's Oddysee, while noting that it was very similar to that title.[6]

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is the third game made by Oddworld Inhabitants. Originally announced as a title in development for PlayStation 2, it was instead released exclusively as one of the launch titles for Microsoft Xbox. It is the second chapter of the Oddworld pentalogy, following Abe's Oddysee and its sequel Abe's Exoddus. While an "Oddboxx" containing all four games was originally intended for a holiday season 2009 release on Steam, the third and fourth games in the series were not released until December 20th, 2010 on Steam, over two years after the first two.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is an action-adventure game developed by Oddworld Inhabitants and published by Electronic Arts for the Microsoft Xbox. Music for the game was written by composer Michael Bross. It was released in January 25, 2005. A version for the PlayStation 2 was planned, but cancelled. The game details the adventures of Stranger, a fearsome bounty hunter. Throughout the game, Stranger pursues and captures outlaws in order to collect bounties. The goal is to ultimately earn enough moolah (in-game money) to pay for a mysterious life-saving operation. One of the most notable features is the "live ammunition" system, which is literally ammunition made of living creatures like fictional insects and small mammals, each with different uses and effects against enemies.[3] The game is re-released as part of the "Oddbox", a newly announced collection which includes all the Oddworld games released so far.[4][5] It was scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2010 on Windows through Steam[6][7], but became available 20th December 2010 [8]. Development team Just Add Water are currently preparing an updated version of the game for release on the Playstation 3.
I didn't think enough people had played it. [editline]1st March 2011[/editline] I actually own the press release demo of Oddysee /gloat.
HD remakes need to be done ASAP and released on XBA or PSN or something
I remember playing Munch's oddysee years ago. badass :frogdowns:
I didn't think enough people had played it. [editline]1st March 2011[/editline] I actually own the press release demo of Oddysee /gloat.
You should still include it. Since the Oddbox came out on Steam recently.

I hope Oddworld Inhabitants or Just Add Water release some details on the new Oddworld games soon.
Got the pack of Abe's Odyssey and Exodus at Christmas. Such nostalgia.
I got Oddysee again over the PSN a few days ago. Turns out they somehow broke the "follow me" command and you can only have one mudokon follow you at a time.
An Abe's Oddysee HD remake is in production. I can't waittttt
Oh man i loved having conversations with the sligs from an elevated position. Slog Scrab Paramite Paramites are the shit.
It was always like that viper. You're thinking of exoddus.
I remember reading about the PS2 Oddworld game that never came out: Munch's Oddysey eventually was xbox exclusive title. Those pictures certainly looked amazing back in the day. In the same magazine, there was also a demo for Abe's Exoddus. I remember nearly shitting myself: back in the day I had no information about a sequel one of my favorite PS1 games.
Fuck Fleeches. just just FUCK FLEECHES.
I remember a tiny bit of playing Abe's Exoddus when I was little. Only thing I remember is that I liked it, but it confused the fuck out of me.
Fuck Fleeches. just just FUCK FLEECHES.
The Sound of Ape slowy getting more high pitched was worse, "I have to make it Oh FHSJNHSD" Also Ape's death at falling always made me laugh "ahaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!"
Awww, the first two games.... Games of my childhood. "Hello" will stay in my head forever! Same with chanting. I wish I had bought the pack when they showed up on Steam... I think I'll wait for another sale.

I fucking love these games.
I bought the series on Steam a while ago after enjoying it as a kid. Tried playing it again and fuck is it hard.
HD remakes need to be done ASAP and released on XBA or PSN or something
They are getting HD remakes already. Oddysee will be 3D from a 2D perspective and Stranger's Wrath will get a full graphical update. The Stranger's Wrath remake is only coming to the PSN due to XBL filesize limitations.
I bought the series on Steam a while ago after enjoying it as a kid. This game is awesome. So much nostalgia. Hi Hi Slap Fart
huhuhu
I remember playing the demo of the first game back in the late 90's. For some reason it terrified me.
One of the best nostalgia games. Loved farting then seeing the enemy guys going "WHAT"
If you fart at the right moment in some places you can make sligs walk right off the edge of platforms.
