Introduction M.U.D. TV (Mad Ugly Dirty Television) is a Tycoon style game (yes, another one.) in which the player is a TV Producer that have control over a TV station and will hire actors and writes to make his own shows, movie and series while buying shows made by other companies and grabbing advertising deals to get lots of money. It also have a multiplayer mode with up to 8 players. So in other words, it's a remake of Mad TV. How does it work? You will create your own character, he is going to be a TV Producer, you will get a floor on askyscraper, and that's the place you are going to build your offices, where you can manage your employees and train them in 6 different skills, the sets, where you will shoot your own original movie, series and shows, the newsroom, where you will research and show the news to the audience, the post-production, where the special effects is added to the the movies, and more! But the most important of them is the CEO's Office, where you will manage the broadcasting schedule and commercial breaks, that is important because depending on the hour a different kind of audience will be watching the channel, senior citizens, for example, watch the channel in the early morning, while nerds watch it late night. You must also make the commercial fits, a commercial for a video game will make better effect with younger people and nerds, and so it will make greater effect if you show it at night. On your floor you will find a elevator too, that can get you to the lobby, where you must hire the best employees before your adversaries can hire them, and if you think that is not enough you can always take a elevator to a floor of an adversary and spy or sabotage them. And also, you should avoid being sabotaged of course. There is a Singleplayer Campaign and a Singleplayer Sandbox mode. Multiplayer There is nothing they showed about the multiplayer to anyone until now except the fact you can apply certain conditions like "Only show nerd shows" and that you can have 7 players join you in the path to reach the top while sabotaging each other, also sabotages play a bigger part on the multiplayer, other than that it should play like a normal singleplayer game. Customization You can make the offices and organize them anyway you like, and you will pick the genre of the movie and it's central points, actors and sets, but nothing else, the developers already said that everything after this point is kinda like pre-made movies they already done, so this game is more about the management of the studio than the detailed customization of the shows and movies.(So, the oposite of The Movies.) They said that if the have enough time before the launch of the game they will put a custom logo system though. Soundtrack The soundtrack is made by Johannes Semm, Boris Royko, Cornelius Ulrich and Michael Pätz from Flash Analogue, and you can download a medley to find out if you liked on the website or directly here: http://www.kalypsomedia.com/downloads/mudtv-medley.zip Mad TV I mentioned a game on the introduction that i don't know if you that is reading this right now knows this game, but in my opinion, it's a classic. The game was released on 1991 and made by Rainbow Arts It is basicly this game but you can't make your own movies and you can walk all around the skyscraper while you manage the studio. It is old and it's abandoware now, so you can download it here: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/520/Mad+TV.html Final Words Well, this game is being developed and published by Kalypso, the fine guys that made Crazy Machines 1, Crazy Machines 2 and Tropico 3 and it have a really cartoonish look, and it is the oposite of realistic. And now to my favorite part, the pictures and videos. :D Videos (The video says February 2010 but it's actually been deleayed to March 12) Images (Noticed the actor called Nuck Chorris?) Mr. Tea. That is all.
This is like The Movies, but on television. I would love to play this.
