I personally don't like the Lite pack, and would definitely join if you switched to the Mindcrack pack, and probably if you switched to the DW pack. I really like the balance changes with GregTech, and would like to see how that affects how people play on the server.
By the war, I did play on the old Tekkit server you had, and I must say, it was a lot of fun. I have no doubts that this server is also great, but I just probably won't be playing on it with the Lite pack.

thanks for the info. it looks like a lot of people like mindcrack, i'm wondering how many more people would join if i switched.
direwolf20 is my choice
Inacio had Mindcrack with Gregtech on hard, and it made it so there were basically no new players. Macerators shouldn't cost diamonds...

Then don't worry about Macerators, there's plenty of alternatives to Macerators (Pulverizers, Factorization, etc) that in many ways are even better. IC2 isn't balanced for SMP, GregTech balances it so people can't just bum-rush to Mass-Fabs and enter a pseudo-creative mode just making whatever they want from sunlight (UltimateSolars REALLY throws the balance off).
I knew about pulverizers. I still don't think that it's fun to ruin IC the way that gregtech does.
If we're changing packs I vote for Direwolf's. I don't have any complaints with the one we're using now, though.
If the server is stable I could bring 3-4 people to this server, granted it goes to direwolf20.

It's not ruining IC2, if anything IC2 by itself ruins the game. With next to no effort you're getting double your ore yields, and with what? Some flint? Oh, Jesus salty Christ, THAT'S hard to find!
Besides it's not like you NEED Macerators to progress in IC2 thanks to the Ore Dictionary, you can use Pulverized metals too. And with Factorization you, on-average, TRIPLE your ore yields.

i disabled the /chunkloaders command. also the server is stopping everyday around mid day. i don't know why. there is no error message.
i disabled mystcraft. if you have a world, it should still work though.
