• An actual MMORTS

I've played boundless Planet quite a time, and now its down im looking for a new "true" mmorts, with a persistent world. I've tried saga online but that aint my game, any other ideas? Is there any other at all?
Come and check out the list of MMORTS games we have - as you came from Boundless Planet I would suggest Time of Defiance, Beyond Protocol, Mankind. Justin from Boundless goes absent for periods and this can be quite annoying if you are paying subs. There are a number of betas/alphas you could try also. I will shortly be replacing my reviews area with a larger, more thorough list shortly - just taking forever to tweak it all. Good luck in your hunt. http://www.mmortsgamers.com
^Advertising much?
^Advertising much?
Well, it is related to what he wanted I guess.
^Advertising much?
It could be argued this but I did intend to help without posting a huge (and for me, repetative) diatribe on all the options. Atm the current reviews cover what we would call hard core mmorts and a few related games. The new reviews cover browser strategy as well as browser rts and have more epic scale mmog's. Happy to for any posting there to add a linkback in their post to here - Ive already passed this boards addy onto my coder son who will probably find the garrys mod area interesting :) HTH Vimes

Beyond Protocol is about the most persistent MMORTS that I've seen so far.
Beyond Protocol is the latest kid on the block but still is enduring very brutal balance issues and the resultant nerfing. Epic scale though and initially good intentions for complete freedom of purpose. This no longer is the case sadly and war and being killed a lot have become the majority experience even for those who wish to trade or tech purely. Mankind is the grandaddy of MMORTS and the original (1998) genre defining game. Recently this title has acquired a new French developer who has upgraded the code and released a new client version with v1.9. This new client has required a altered universe from the previous one and, as such, they have placed it within the outer universe - thus a fresh game environment ( the pinnacle moment to play really). Only these two do one shard/server, fully persistant, no instancing, SciFi MMORTS. The rest end games regulary or dont fully do RTS with instanced combat or instanced production bases etc. Dawn of Fantasy will have single player and online play as well and looks awesome - the first game in a LONG time to lure me back to pigs and swords :)
