Hey guys, I was just watching this video on youtube " [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHYhRz-ZFss[/url] ". Which is now my favorite fan made video of all time. And watching this just made me remember how good FFX was. For storyline, it is my favorite in the FF series, next to 7. And considering my favorite game series for their story is FF, I would say FFX had the best story in any game. Watching that youtube video just had the memories rush back. And I realized that every aspect the game was so refined and was worked out. The graphics looked really nice at the time, the battle system was prime ( opinional ). But 2 things that make this game stand out in my mind are the incredibly well done, written, and orchestrated pieces, along with the story. Which seam to just compliment each other perfectly. I mean like I said, watching that youtube video and hearing the music was a "whoa" moment. I really appreciate the fact that Square Enix doesn't give you a nice guy ending, nor does it give you an empty or meaningless ending, it delivers the icing on the cake. And I mean I really only played this game for the story, I wasn't too big a fan of the Turn Based system, I liked FF7's more ( Time Based ).
But yeah, this is just me ranting about how awesome the game was, and how much I wish I still had my disk, because I would play through that game again any day.
So yeah, leave some opinions on FFX and some of the others of the series.
I'll start by saying "X-2 dissapointed me, X was so good that SE thought they could just 'continue it' without putting as much effort as they did in the first, but the girls look good"

I believe the exact opposite, FF doesn't get brownie points for having cool technology or incredible online play. It's for those core gamers who enjoy a good old RPG. Sure games like CoD and L4D are awesome. But they are games everyone plays. RPG's as deep as FF really only consist of the gamers playing them. Of coarse there is always room for a difference, but essentially Final Fantasy isn't a game you go around saying how "good" or how much you "pwn" at it. Like I said, those are games like L4D and CoD.
One of the things that bugged me about the game were Tidus's clothes.

I still think Square Enix are both kicking a dead horse and milking the franchise name for all it's worth with things like Advent Children and Dissidia. I never got into X much but I have fond memories of the much older games. I don't plan on buying any more FF games because I'm really, really, really sick of the combat system. (Or systems if you can really call the feature bloated original concept a new system.)
Also, most of the main characters have annoyed me for a long while. Zindane, Tidus, Vaan. They're all the same character and they're all whiny as hell.
X-2 was just shit, though.

I loved FFX, but I got stuck on Evrae and haven't been able to finish it. I can't grind on the airship cause that damn bullshit where you get three of the same enemy and they all rape you over and over again.
Ten killed my interest in the series. Everything was just repulsive. I especially loathed blitzball. As for the characters, Tidus? Crybaby wuss. Rikku? Punk kid with a ridiculous battle stance that appears to be some kind of epileptic seizure. Wakka? Complete fuckin' dork, ya? Yuna? Typical damsel in distress, despite the fact she can summon brutal critters. Kimari? Furry. Lulu? Gothic floozy. Auron? He can create a fiery tornado by spewing booze on his sword. Frankly, the only character worth a damn. I really couldn't understand how he put up with those misfits.
I [b]wasted[/b] 50 hours of my life playing this and the ending was horrible, even if it was what I hoped for. I hated Tidus so much that I named him Faggot in my game.
My biggest complaint about the whole game, besides the storyline and clothing, is the fact that all of the gameplay is dependent on luck. There is no skill to be learned in this game, you can only hope you win, nothing more.

the general beef people have with FF is moody teenagers and japanese glorified childporn that is lightly dressed 12 yearolds.
i'd give FF a chance but the whole "the more EMO= THE MORE AWESOME" just makes me sick.

Which is why I prefer the older ones, even in FF7 you could barely distinguish an ass from a face so...
Everything went bad after/with FF8 (character-wise), sure FF7's Cloud was emo, but at least it had Barret and Cid to make up for it (well not completely, but there were two manly men at least). And the 2D FFs didn't have all these issues.

In my opinion, FF became just another brand name around eight or nine. Might as well regard "Final Fantasy" in the title as much as you'd regard "Square Enix presents:"
On an unrelated note, Tidus is my God damn most hated character ever, though. He manages to go from a whiny annoying brat to an emo crybaby over the course of the game, and then kind of bounces back and forth.
I enjoyed X (for the most part I just let it all go, having already given up hope on FF after 8), but damn the final battle was a let down. Lemme just throw a phoenix down on ya and end the game. Only good part of that entire gauntlet was the battle with Jeht.
Aside from Auron, who was totally awesome, the characters were indeed pretty horrible most of the time. Still, I loved the game, and thought the story was awesome.

Originally, Basch was going to be the main character of Final Fantasy 12, but they were afraid he would be hard for their core demographic to identify with, so they switched it to Vaan.

I thought it had some of the best music in any video game I had ever seen.
Some of the bosses where a pain in the ass though. It took me a year to finally beat that over sized worm on that airship. Course then I was 11 and a idiot
I somehow disliked X but ended up finishing X-2
Final Fantasy X was a terrible game.
Well I played FFX and then it got scratched so i played the start agin and saved over my good game.
And my FF9 disk 4 is beyond repair :saddowns:

I enjoyed X more than any other in the series. I bought a few after X but they sucked compared to it. Also the developers are milking the series to death pinching every penny they can. They should have stopped at X and made something new.
