Recommend me a game on steam, for under $30.
But there is a prize! I'll give you a copy of HL2 Death match, and a Guest Pass for Day of defeat. But only if I like the game. 1st one to reccomend it to me gets the crap.

Alright, cool. I mean hl2dm is pretty much free on steam and I already have DOD but ill take HL2DM and the Guest past off your hands.

Ah. Audiosurf is fun, but I didn't bother even playing it after "surfing" 30 songs.
BFBC2 is fun, you can get a retail (not steam) for 30 bucks. But then it's not steam. Try Company of Heroes. Very good RTS.
Company of Heroes + Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (Addon) is 15 bucks.

Stalker is good. But you need to like it too. People I know rented it, some didn't like it at all, whilst other loved it.
Plants vs Zombies is great, and only like 10$.

This. I love this game.
If you enjoyed Empire: Total War you could try Rome? One of my favourite games of all time. Also Audiosurf, i love the way it integrates music and game.
Men of War if you can a more realistic sort of Company of Heroes.
