What is a really nice PC WWII shooter? I was thinking about getting WaW but I wasn't sure. Maybe DoD: Sauce? I would like some opinions because I REALLY want a WWII shooter and I want a really good one :buddy:

God
I want opinions from people on Facepunch thank you very much.
Battlefield 1942.
DoD:s is really good unless you want vehicles and stuff like that.

DoD Source, Call of Duty 1, Return to castle Wolfenstein, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory(Free but still fun as hell)
bROTHERS IN ARMS: HELL HIGHWAY is amazing. Really good WW2 game. Thinking of installing it again...
Dod source seems really fast paced to me, is it?
And is Cod: Waw worth considering?
Red Orchestra is a good realistic one, online only
Resistance and liberation
It's free as long as you have any source game

Call of duty 2 is a nice option too, if you haven't played it.

About as fast-paced as CSS I guess, It all depends on the map and the players.
Red Orchestra is a good realistic one, online only
There's single player if you count the Practice thing.
Hmm, so far I'm thinking Waw or Dod: Source, looked at the others and they seem odd to me. I can't explain odd but I don't think I will like them.
DoD:S Isn't as fast-paced as CS:S, the weapons don't allow it. It is a very good game though, for the price.
Red Orchestra is good as well. Although very slow paced in comparison to CS:S and even DoD:S, and the controls take a bit to get used to. i.e. middle mouse button to look through scope/zoom in. Vehicles are a nice touch too.
Okay, thanks for the opinions guys! I'm gonna get Dod: Source. Could a mod please close this thread?
Thanks guys!

Call of Duty: 1, United Offensive, 2, 5, Medal of Honor: All of them, All of the Brothers in arms, Battlefield 1942.
If you want fun, I suggest you the Battlefield 1942 and expansion packs. And battlefield 2 with the Forgotten Hope 2 or Battlegrounds 2 Total Conversion Mods.
If you want fantastic singleplayer exprience, I hearthly recommend Medal of Honor - Allied Assault. It set standards for the whole WW2 FPS genre. And has the best game music ever created, hands down.
Just one more suggestion, keep an eye on Red Orchestra II. It's looking to be one of the most realistic WW2 shooters to date, the Tripwire guys have always been pretty good about accurately representing vehicular and troop combat.
Still DoD:S is a great game.
Actually, if you want fantastic singleplayer exprience, I recommend the whole Medal of Honor series.
The Brothers in Arms series has some of the best singleplayer experiences I have ever seen in a World War II game. Combine that with gameplay that doesn't involve your typical shooter stuff and you've got a must-play series.

This, but I'd go for the first two
Hells Highway wasn't nearly as good
Stay away from Day of Defeat: Source!
Get the original Call of Duty with the United Offensive expansion, they're all you'll ever need... along with Battlefield 1942.

I thought Hell's Highway was way better than the first two. Well, I've played the first one and that one made you rely way too much on getting your squad to do everything.
Cod 2
Wolfenstein 3D. :obama:

It's good. Don't argue with me.
I thought Medal of Honor Airborne kicked ass, loved the concept. Pacific Assault was great.

Legit
If you like fast paced, battlefield 1942 is the best.
DoD:s is really good unless you want vehicles and stuff like that.
in which case 90% of all games are not what you want and only battlefield is left.
I'm getting Day of defeat :D
Now I just need to convince my dad to let me use his credit card...He already thinks I play too many video games but I really don't, he also thinks every single game is exactly the same...

The whole point of the game was that you weren't a one man army and you needed a squad to help you out
