When I bought GTA IV, the first time it launched, it said I had to enter a cd-key when trying to play multiplayer. I noted it, and started playing. When I started multiplayer, it didn't need a key.
Yesterday I bought Mount and Blade, and it said I had to enter the CD-key when I started the game. Again, I noted it, and started the game. But I shouldn't enter anything. Again.
Why does it keep giving me these messages, when I don't need them?
Is it normal not to need them?
its just a In-case feature i think. So that if something happens and game glitches up , you would know what to enter. Because if i'm correct , Steam writes the key in for you.
Really? That's pretty cool of steam, but isn't the three different messages including the CD-key sort of overkill then?
With some games you do need to enter the key. With others, you just get the key and don't need to use it. But since Steam only has this mechanism for dealing with CD keys that's just how it goes.
