I have tried Googling.
I have let my games and Steam go through the firewall.
I have tried deleting ClientRegistry.blob and steamclient.dll
None of those have worked for me.
Bump
Try running Half-Life 2 then restarting whatever game you want to play. Worked for me before.

Nope, didn't work.
When this happened to me after I switched and downloaded all of the steam games to a new computer I just kept trying and it eventually worked, no idea what happened but it turned out okay. Try to 'connect (i.p of a server in a certain game)' in the console to see if you can join any servers at all.
Your masterservers.vdf is broken. It broke in a steam update.

I'm able to connect with console and the Steam's server browser, but my in-game browsers don't find any servers. It kinda annoys me even though I can still connect with other ways.
Do you have an antivirus that has a firewall? Disable the firewall if so, windows has its own
Tried disabling the firewall, still doesn't find servers.
I getting this in gmod, PVK and Day of Defeat. Going into the Servers list in Steam works, so I'll just wait until it resolves itself.
