The Last Second is a brand new mod I started about a month ago and is still in WIP, note that i'm only 15, and that a lot of things may change during this WIP.
It is based from Half Life 2 Episode 2, finally managed to get Visual C++ and fixing all the errors it first gave to me.
I touched a little bit the code and added new stuff, note that this is a completly different story than the Half Life (2), Portal (2) ones.

The intense radiation, leaving dead people to be infected as a zombie, and the ones who survived to have some strange powers... What will it be ? [B][U]Relase Date ?[/U][/B] None for the moment, I only started this mod a month ago, and I don't want to act like Valve who keeps delaying their estimated release time (HL3 *cough cough*), so no false hopes...
[B][U]Oh my god, you ripped off a material/model/sound/idea ![/U][/B] This is a mod, not a commercial game, so I guess i'm fine about all the materials models and sounds I may or already ripped off, as for ideas, little ideas combined together make a whole new one you don't think ? Look at Black Mesa, turned out pretty well didn't it ?
[B][U]The mapping/materials/models/sounds/coding is horrible...[/U][/B] I only started this mod a month ago, I'm not really on the mapping side as you can see, for the moment it is really blocky, but [B]I won't rush [/B]this mod unlike some other mods out there, I will take my time to be sure that everything is polished before I release it, if there's anything else wrong with models, sounds, textures, or the code in itself, tell me, so I can try to fix that.

The mapping is really blocky, so you might want to improve on that. It's a good first mod, but I wouldn't release it until it's really polished.

Exactly my thoughts, I am mostly focused on the code and texturing at the moment, but don't worry, I will do everything as I can for this mod to not be rushed like some other mods out there.
the mod is very ehh
i coulda sworn ive seen those animations before and the mapping isnt very good
also the trailer is p much a direct ripoff of the fallout trailers
you forgot to fix the css weapon muzzle flashes from the models I assume you didn't make.
also don't use the default shader-editor shaders. the ssao is not meant to be used as source has a very limited depth-buffer.
I have a feeling those guns are recorded in Gmod.
The mapping is horrendously blocky, and in the weapon showcase videos you have a severe case of "slide blows back with no bullet in the chamber".
Everything feels and looks completely unpolished.

Black Mesa has mostly 90 percent of newly created content.
On the other hand, your new mod content has 100% reused content (weapons, skins.) That's not good. If you want a successful mod, you don't use someone's content without permission.

wow this is the single worst plot i've ever seen. how does radiation cause zombies? how is there any kind of visible landscape 13 hours after a nuclear attack? how do people who have survived a nuclear explosion have magical powers? and then you contradict yourself by asking "will they survive" when in the previous sentence you said that they DID.
not to mention the fact that almost every single model is stolen from gamebanana.

I don't see why you find that amusing. The game takes place in Russia, but either way Russians aren't the only enemies. There are also Nazi's, anomalies, and mutants.

I find it amusing, beacouse... Well, you know, I actualy meant to make a joke that the "metagame" of russians being bad guys is so strong that even in a game that tooks place in a world that only russian survived they do they usual evil job, but now I realize that beacouse there are only russians, they just HAVE TO be the the bad guys. Heh.

I'm sorry, but until your game is doing completely spectacular destruction, state of the art lighting, and wouldn't run on my computer with out burning it to the ground, you certainly don't deserve to put, "THIS IS ALL RENDERED REAL-TIME" on your video.
