Any games with good thievery? - Games

Holla ! I've recently started to look for games with a good, balanced stealth system as in Splinter Cell; just not in the same setting + some kind of thievery and assassination. I tried the Splinter Cell series, Assassins Creed and Oblivion leaned towards this; but psychic guards were too awesome :( Btw, did anyone play the "Thief" series? If so, are they any good ?

There aren't many games with a focus on thieving because Fox News says that they encourage our children to become criminals. Blame America and Australia. And some Canadians too.

I played Thief 3. It was pretty good.

Morrowind/Oblivion

They won't know that you've stolen anything unless they actually see it and other towns won't know of it aswell. So if you escape the town with guards chasing you, only the guards there will know.

I don't know about Theif 3, but the Thief series is really good and you should try them out.

(Or it's called he wasn't sure which one it was so he spelled it both ways so that when people noticed it, they just assume that it is a typo.) Either way, I don't see why you had to go and ask about it, it's not that big of a deal bud.

I'd say the Thief series is your best bet. Thief II is particularly good.

For non-PC games, go Sly 2 & 3 for PS2. :}

GTA4 has some thievery in it, stealing cars, one mission you need to rob a bank
