• Against my wishes: Brutal legends or Mirrors edge

My friend has the money to get one, and would like to know which is the best in the following: Length: which is longest? Story: which has a better story? Replayability: Which will make me want to play it again? Personal opinion: Which do you like more? I really hate threads like these but I am posting one, so I guess I will have to back off a little bit from people who post them.

He already has that son. And it does not apply here, bf2 sucked anyway.
I like Brutal Legend more and it's longer and it's cooler and more kick ass because it has Jack Black and it's heavy metal reborn as a videogame. Except for the RTS parts. I never finished it but only because I kept loosing the last RTS battles. :byodood:

Mirror's Edge has a decent lenght, but is linear and has next to no replayability (a time trial mode). Brutal Legend is on the short side, main storywise (5 hours, excluding some GTA style exploration and collecting) but has a great, fun story and a multiplayer mode. Personally I'd say Brutal Legend.

Mirror's Edge turns shit halfway through.
Brutal Legend is disappointingly short for an RTS, but the multiplayer is okay. Mirrors Edge is good until you pretty much have to use guns. Brutal Legend might last longer but to be hoonest both are kind of meh.
Wait... I've never owned Brutal Legend, but I always thought that it was an Action/Platformer, not an RTS.
Brutal Legend is horrible. I pre ordered it expecting the best game ever and I got shit. Haven't played Mirrors Edge though so I can't say anything about it. But I recommend you stay far away from Brutal Legend. It might be a Tim Schafer game but god damn it is bad.
Ask your friend to give the money to you and go rent both games at blockbuster. See which one you like.
Mirrors Edge, it's different, and good.
i own ME and rented BL and i have to say i enjoy BL more, howver it's mostly because im into the heavy metal style of it all, and the fact that its a fun, humorous, tim schafer game. ME is a good game too though, but imo it focuses too much on just free running, and it becomes kind of repitive quickly imo, but it's definitely a good game to try out.
Between the two, Brutal Legend. I returned Mirrors Edge the same day I got it, it was so boring and uninteresting.
Why just those 2? There are 100s of longer/better games. But I guess mirrors edge.
While I REALLY wanted to recommend to you Brutal Legend, due to being purely badass, I recommend Mirror's Edge since while it may not have the same replayability as Brutal Legend, it's very original & I had quite a blast with the single player & time trials. Also, Brutal Legend midway during the game introduces this crap RTS element which forced me to stop playing it due to the final fights (which are near impossible). Then again, that's my opinion. It all depends what you expect and want in a game.
I really recommend Mirror's Edge. It's... different. Though using guns are a real bitch.

brutal legend if you want to listen to some good music en enjoy these kind of korny games mirror's edge if you like running for 5 a 6 hours on skyscrapers
I can't say which game to get. I can say though, that I think Brutal Legend seems like shit, and being that I played Mirror's Edge, I can say that it IS shit, in my opinion. In all honesty, I wouldn't get neither BL or ME.
Mirror's Edge is pretty fun.
