Console command for setting the lowest sound quality possible?

Soo, I'm having lotsa stuttering and FPS drops in all source games. When I use -nosound launch command, though, everything goes smooth. The problem is, that I don't like playing with no sound. So, are there any commands that rapidly decrease the quality of sound? Or disable some sounds at all.

If your PC is lagging because of sounds, I really think you should get a new sound card, if not a new PC. You HAVE tried going into Options>Audio in the TF2 menu, right? I believe you can set the sound quality there.
