Odd countdown and coming on Planetside website - Planetside 2? - Games

Planetside 2 has been more-or-less confirmed. After a sequel to a game was announced, like, an hour afterwards, the lead designer of Planetside said on his twitter "Planetside is next- you'll like." Then they had people on the Planetside forums do a survey for what they would want in a second Planetside. This, combined with other countless hints, leads most people to believe they've started development.

I can't wait for it. I never played in the early years, but what I did play was fantastic enough. A sequel will be even better.

Plus, you know, the whole water deal. Remember Ras' Galaxy Gunship raids? He had like 50 one time in an outfit collab, was ridiculous. Impossible to fight.

Ugh, 16 more days.

My god. Planetside was one of the greatest games I ever played. I remember when me and 3 other men flew over the enemybase in a phantom. We we're shot down and crashed into the trees. We then had to hold off against several enemies until we ran further in. We got to those massive teleporters that could get us to our home base. Suddenly we heard a ship fly over us. They we're looking for us. Thankfully we we're on Teamspeak at the time and called for backup. Out of the teleport comes a huge convoy, ready to assault the base. Our friend rides in on a wraith and helps us get away. We gained the base, and fought like heroes.

Got into Planetside like a week ago...; And holy shit I love it. Appearently the game is a ghost town now, compared to what it used to be. Seriously, though. I still have to see a game with something better than a Galaxy Gunship escorted by mosquitos bombing the enemy base and then everyone bailing-out when the damage became critical... fucking rained soldiers lol

I'm really excited for the new Planetside, I'm guessing it's counting down to some sort of beta or sneak peek of Planetside Next.

I can't wait. I loved Planetside. I remember how amazing it was back in its prime days.

Six hours-ish to go now, most likely they are announcing a sequel and hopefully releasing a teaser trailer with the announcement.

If they announce a sequel I'll join Micro in shitting myself. If they announce that Planetside will forever be free, I will explode. If they announce both, I'm not sure what I'd do.

5 hours to go... latest comic shows some guy having an army "built" for him...? One before that mentioned something about aquiring and then constructing something with nanites.... perhaps epic robot army come to disassemble the planet(s)? Sounds like a game ender is coming.

I remember playing in the reserves... Good times. Never got around to buying it, but hopefully I'll be getting Planetside 2, which will no doubt be be :krad2:

Would have preferred another Reserves program or something. I'd resub for that (and get a few more friends playing too!) BTW as of this post timer is approx 2 hours 40 minutes.
