Diablo 2 is a hack and slash adventure RPG, and certainly the best of it's genre. It was released in June of 2000 and has one expansion pack (Lord of Destruction).

In Diablo 2, you play through 4 "acts" which are basically the chapters of the game. In each act there are a set number of quests you need to do in order to reach the next act. Act's usually have a few optional quests, a few quests you're required to do and a boss quest at the end.

No. When you make a character in diablo 2 you get to choose from 5 (or 7 if you have the expansion) classes that can use different weapons and armor, and have different skills accordingly. You can choose from the assassin (expansion), amazon, druid (expansion), necromancer, barbarian, sorceress or paladin. My favorite class is the necromancer, because you can summon the dead and use corpses as TOWERS. I mean GOD DAMNNNNNNNN

[b]HOW DO MULTIPLAYER[/b]
Well, the multiplayer is kind of outdated now, so most people play online with hamachi. It works pretty well and it's easy to set up. I was planning to set up a facepunch hamachi for D2 with the medianxl mod, anyone interested?

MedianXL is [b]the best[/b] mod for Diablo 2 lord of destruction. You get a whole new range of items, monsters, levels, challenges and more fun stuff. When you first play, you get a horadric cube forever and ever to craft stuff with. Finding rare items like uniques and signets is really fun and adds to the game experience.

Witches are rare in the world, but when they appear, you best not go near them! they'll jump on you and kill you instantly. Left4Dead, anyone?

Normal levels not tough enough? try an uberlevel. Everything is very powerful and you get awesome rewards like charms that add to your bonuses.

i remember my holy paladin
his name is "suck_ur_sledge" kinda, it was a hammer paladin.
ridiculously powerful, 13k - 14k damage, a lot of armor etc.
I can run everything ever with +60 FPS but not Diablo 2.

You're running it fine. The game has really low FPS animations. You'll get used to it.
I'm waiting for D3 damn it. Every enemy, enemy death, sounds, gems hitting the ground, and teleport scroll sounds are burned into my mind for eternity. I love D2, but christ... I have played it to death.
I really need Diablo 2.

I've played it, I lost my key.
Diablo 2 LOD was a "high-runes trading" simulation. I did have a pretty good windy Druid, but never got around to checking this mod out. I just might reinstall D2 and try this mod out.
Also, I remember just sitting around at duel games shitting around and camping the edge of the Rogue Encampment with my bear killing the low levels. I felt so bad when I stole their gold.
I even offered a guy my Enigma for being so mean to him. I gladly rejected.
Me and my friend keep on constantly going back to play this, but we end up fighting over something full blown retarded, and then not play for months. :v:

Heh, I was a gold monger in Diablo. My friends and I set up a full party, and then I would have hundreds of thousands of gold before anyone even broke 50k gold.
Then I would just buy everything everyone wanted and keep it stashed away or drop it far away from everyone. Oh man I was such a dick.
This is my favorite game of all time.
I think I'll get my brother to play this again with me, never tried out the mod.

I never got the hang of the Horadic Cube.
I also stopped playing because Act III pissed me off too much.
I think I've played this game more than any other. Never gets old, especially with Median XL.

I've been playing Median recently, but I'm stuck on the throne of destruction at the moment and it infuriates me to no end.

This game is essentially "Competitive Collection: The Game". Seriously, killing monsters is just a side-effect, because as soon as loot drops everyone starts yelling and screaming at each other trying to grab as much as possible.
At least that's how I've always played it.
This and Eastern Sun were the most fun I'd had with diablo in a long time, especially playing them with the high-res patches.
