Game Information
The low-down on one of the most original and fun game ideas for a long time...
With Elixir Studio's first title, Republic, a reputation for originality and technical mastery was born. Since then, Elixir has channeled its collective energies into developing a fun and exciting idea of a game; one that was very popular at release.
Well then... what is Evil Genius? To start with, let's see what the Elixir blurb says:
In this strategy / simulation game created by Elixir Studios, the player assumes the role of an evil mastermind bent on achieving global domination through the construction of the ultimate doomsday device. Build a secret base, gain infamy and notoriety by completing daring missions, repel the forces of justice in real-time combat and develop evil super weapons to complete a nefarious master plan. Evil Genius is a tongue-in-cheek take on the 60's spy thriller genre offering the player the chance to play the villain himself and control a secret island fortress complete with powerful henchmen, loyal minions and a wide range of hilarious gizmos, gadgets and traps.
If that isn't enough, why not have a browse through just a few of the key features of the game:
* Master all five evil gameplay elements: base building, real-time combat, minion training, techno-research, and mission deployment
* Manage your minions as you train them to develop evil technology and super-weapons
* Build your secret base and defend it against attacks by obnoxious action heroes and government agents in real time
* Find and recruit talented henchmen from a variety of exotic locations; dispatch agents to war zones in search of talent, scour universities for insane scientists and launch prison breaks to free captured henchmen
* Undertake numerous missions to increase your power and notoriety, including stealing the Eiffel Tower, kidnapping pop stars, and procuring priceless treasures and art
Put it this way. Evil Genius is fun, engaging, humerous, technically impressive and addictive

Amazing Fansite
Fuck
Yes.
I love it that when your minions do research, they collect PURE SCIENCE :science:
Epic
Win.
I just got this today, my most bestest friend gifted me it. :D
I'm playing it right now. :buddy:
I nostalgia'd. Gotta dig out my discs tomorrow.
Thinking about getting it. Is there a difference between the Evil Geniuses you can choose?
Yes. Alexis has the largest circle of influence, the Asian guy who's name I forget gets less heat or something. And, Maximillion gets 90% off on research.
Thinking about getting it. Is there a difference between the Evil Geniuses you can choose?
There's barely any difference apart from post above.
I believe there was a thread before.
I believe there was a thread before.
Yeah but it is old now and the OP had 2 choices:
1. Bump old history and get banned.
2. Create new thread and not get banned.
Thinking about getting it. Is there a difference between the Evil Geniuses you can choose?
Not hugely significant. It determines the starting henchman, and there are some other stats that I cant remember off hand. They also have unique minion execution animations [sp]Max shoots them in the face with a pistol, Shen-yu stabs them with a big ceremonial dagger, and Alexis sets them on fire with her big cigarette thing[/sp]
I cant find the first asian crimelord.
I have plotted asia with workers do I need to do it with another class

You know where the "Capture the technician" AOI is? That's where he is. Should be an orange territory.
I wish my cd wasn't broken. I must buy this game again
There's barely any difference apart from post above and the ending to the game.
:siren:SPOILERS:siren:
Maximillion (AKA Dr. Evil): [sp]Turns everyone into workers[/sp]
Shen-Yu (AKA Ming the Merciless):[sp]Pulls everything towards the moon/disables gravity[/sp]
Alexis:[sp]Earthquakes[/sp]
I'm pretty sure the endings are based on which advanced research devices you use with the info on the second island.
Just bought and downloaded, but I can't play until tomorrow since it's midnight where I live, and I haven't slept a lot lately, so I'm really tired.
just trying to get $10000 every minute to go on the next island :0

You are correct.
This game likes to BSoD when I launch it, any ideas?
Yay! Too bad I suck at building bases!
I played through this game twice, it's fucking awesome. I wish there were more islands, or you could build you base under a city or something.

Update drivers or reinstall.
I wish there were more spots to build to it would give it more replay value.
I love this game, I was just playing it.
If you enter some debug menu codes, the game is like a huge level editor.
I just got it and it's really addicting. I kinda panicked when some sailors wandered into my base, but then my guys killed them and dragged them off to the freezer.
I hate pulling off a string of missions and having exceptional soldiers destroy half my workforce
Edit:
Also NEVER EVER take Red Ivan if you have another choice
Update drivers or reinstall.
I've done both.
Also NEVER EVER take Red Ivan if you have another choice
He makes damn sure that he blows up all of YOUR damn shit up.
He's worse than John Steele.

Easily solved by giving him Dirk Masters HMG's
I hate the super agents that attack especially since I don't have any of the stuff to kill them with.
