ive tried deleting "stars" ive copied the files on to the disk, i can't find anything else. i really want to play spore, can anyone help me? i see the spore logo before the menu, my moniter says no signal everything is still running and my vpu stops respoding

If you're graphics driver isn't up to date you should start there OP, also post system specs

OP has not posted anything so far...
It's part of their newly implemented DRM on all new discs. Buy the game and play a black screen until EA can verify you have a real copy. Before that, it has to check if you have a genuine copy of Windows. If you don't, you can't play.
if you install the game more than one time, the disc will erase itself.
Have fun!
Oh, by the way, it takes about 3 hours for it to do that on first-time run. After the first, just leave it running minimized since it will take overnight to start again after the first-time.

How about not complaining about posting opinions in a discussion sub-forum.
It's just an opinion. And if the the OP wasn't interested in opinions then he shouldn't have posted in General Games Discussion and instead have posted in the Hardware and Software section, or at least said he wasn't interested in opinions.
This is the game discussion part of facepunch and it should be kept that way.
Okay Guys, He is asking for help for one, but anyway, Spore, compared to what it was originally was expected to be was not very good, Compared to the Pre-release prototypes and all those awesome videos, we were completely ripped off, but if you DON'T compare it to those, it seems pretty good, and better once you get the expansion for it, however I must say Overall, Compared to what we expected it was horrid like I said, but as a game in general if you don't go by the expectations, the game is alright.
Spore is not deserving of all this hate. It is a good game, it just didn't live up to the crazy expectations. I really enjoyed it once Galactic Adventures came out. Making your own missions and sharing them with friends is great fun.

Why would I trust you if I have Spore myself, and I can tell you a whole story once a time is actually alot of fun still.

i like spore. its one of my favorites. you can go back online and mindlessly shoot people in css, i like to fly around space and be creative. thats also why i like gmod, i like to use my imagination. If you just want to say spore sucks, please don't post. i'm not forcing anything, i made this thread to find a solution, not to find out who hates the game.

I liked it, I solved my Black Screen by one of the following...
1. Update Drivers (Duh)
2. Restart Computer.
3. Delete save(s).
4. IF NECESSARY; reinstall.
If none of the above work, then supply more specific info such as specs.
