X-plane is more realistic... so I use it instead for simulations.

FSX aircraft have very high detailed interiors which are functional, but that's the only thing going for it imo.

So, it's still an awsome game, I still play it on VATSIM, flying my Level-D 767-300, love that fucking plane man.. I won't touch any other plane, besides the PMDG MD-11.. i'm a classic mang.

one of my coworkers (retired airforce pilot) is addicted to it. He's got this elaborate 3 monitor setup and the joysticks and throttles and stuff. I get bored with it myself. Hawx was entertaining

I've always wanted to try VATSIM, so if you make it that might get me into it. Go for it.

And on topic, I love FSX and X-Plane both, but FSX is better for a pick up and fly session, so I usually play it more. I've got a Saitek X-52 set up, but i'm looking at getting a set of CH equipment once I get a job. X-Plane is sweet too, it's just a bit of a pain to set up, and the menus fucking suck. That and it's 77 gb installed...

EDIT: Though, how easy is VATSIM to get into? I don't have any real experience with virtual airlines or FSX multiplayer. And I hope I don't sound like a noob that just picks a jet and crashes it over and over, I do actual flights and i've been playing flight sims since I was about 9 :saddowns:
