I can't seem to find anything about it I look at gamespot/ign and I know I saw this somewhere that it's connect and I can't seem to find out if it is somehow connect to FF7 I want to make sure before I buy a PS2 for it
They're both Final Fantasy games. That about all they have in common.
There's only one connection really, and I think it's like a very subtle reference, where at the start of FF7, on the TV in the basement of the Barret's hideout it says SIN and has a picture of it on the news.
Eh, it's more like Tifa's bar basement or something but you might remember it, could only find a really small picture of it, but you can see it at the bottom.

None of the Final Fantasy's are connected except X and X-2.

Thats abut the only real 'connection' that they have.
That little kid from X-2 is the founder of Shinra

Lest we forget Bahamut is related to almost all FF's.
Don't forget Cid and Wedge&Biggs.
So technically the only unique connection between 7 and 10 is the above mentioning of SIN.
I sound like I'm nitpicking again so I'll stop.

No they aren't connected. FFX and X-2 are, and Tactics, Tactics Advance and Advance 2, and FF12 all take place in the same world (supposedly). The only time FF7 and FFX connect in any way is in the Kingdom Hearts games.

I was using that as an example, I'm cool to admit they bring back some of the more awesome ideas to the new games refreshed and all.

And it's true for just about ever Final Fantasy game..
Final Fantasies 12, Tactics Advance, and Tactics Advance 2 are all related.

Yeah, none of them are connected in any way shape or form.
Maybe X and X-2, but apart from that, no.
And maybe dissidia. All the characters are in that game :3
