No seriously, I went to play on my level 69 account, and after a game which didn't mention ANYTHING, I suddenly got lvl. 70 for no reason. I have prestiged before too...
Anyway, I was going to prestige when SURPRISE! I couldnt for some reason. I looked at the stats, and it DID say I was lvl. 70, but THE XP BAR WAS GROWING STILL. My next rank is Lvl. 71 or I will be level prestige? WTF? HELP!!!
You will be able to prestige when the XP bar is full.

If you're on pc it's easy to take a picture.
When your XP bar fills you will have the choice to enter prestige mode. It's completely optional.
prestige is nothing but a way to keep the console kiddies entertained for a week longer.

When you hit level 70, you have to get your XP bar full one more time before entering next prestige.

You get a second tier rank, reverting you back to level 1 but giving you a higher ranking. There are 10 prestige levels.

Your rank resets and you get a new rank symbol
You lose all your stuff (minus titles and emblems and are reverted to level 1. You also get a emblem beside your number and occasionally get an extra class or title.

When you hit 70 you have to fill the XP bar all the way and then you can prestige.

I didn't agree with him, that's not exactly being a pc fanboy, he could have a console, just because he said console kiddies, he most likely meant the mardy little kids that play mw2 too much.
