I have replaced my old PS3 and I still have it so I planned on putting it in my room. I used the SD cable which I haven't use in quite a while and when I set it up on my TV it did not work. I put it back on the TV I used to have it on with an HD cable and everything was fine. I tried the SD cable and PS3 on a bunch of other TVs and it did not work.(Note: The PS2 uses the same cable and I tried that too.) Help
Change your video settings from 'HDMI' to 'SCART' in the XMB.

it resets the display, it has to be reset when you go from HDMI back to SD

You actually just turn your ps3 off where you can see the red light, then hold it until it turns on and you hear another beep, so two beeps.
I had figured this out after mastering the predict where I am and change the display method.
