Currently, it's just an idea (and a bit of clientside code). Basically, an advanced browser-based RPG. Check out http://winsaucestudios.com/rpg/dev/engine_v0.2.php (IE won't work, I'll make it work eventually) Obviously there's a tonne of stuff to to, even before I work on the serverside stuff. Battles will hopefully popup over the map (*might* have to load a new page, not entirely sure). Weapons will include swords, guns pretty much everything. Characters in-battle will be the map ones pixelated - it looks pretty cool actually. Will have animations in-battle as well. Enemies will vary to include pokemon, random made up monsters and stuff I find around the internet. Might look around for some pixel artists to work on custom stuff. Those maps were made for a previous browser-based pokemon game idea, but it was laggy and badly coded by me, but the maps are beautiful. Hopefully I can convince Pie_tony to make more :D Just posting to see what people think of the idea really, I'd appreciate ideas & feedback. Thanks!
Will it be like an MMO, as in, there are always battles happening (In permitted zones) and you can join the fight at any time depending on the race/faction/team you are in. Because I would love that :D I can't wait too see more from this.

Unless I build some sort of streaming server, but nothing really exists, bar using flash (no idea how). If other players were on the map, they wouldn't move smoothly like the player does. So it's going to be (mostly) single player. I think.
It's not another one of these generic text games, that's a big plus. I would love to see it finished, but I guess that won't be done
The idea sounds good on paper, but what you have at the moment is far too little to grasp a strong idea about.
I would love to see it finished, but I guess that won't be done
Where's the faith dude? I'm taking a 5 month break from web design while I'm out here in Canada, so I'm pretty much dedicated any time not skiing/partying/working to this. It will happen (assuming there is support).
This looks good actually, ifs it gets done this will be pretty 'Keen.'
Are those RPG Maker sprites?
Overv never played Pokemon before? Or were you not referring to the sprites' appearance?
pokeman!
lum1naire gets it.
Yeah, should be obvious where they're from :P The actual game won't directly be pokemon, but will contain them. Basically doing this for freedom so we can add win and funny stuff to it, not directly pokemon related. Plus, users will be able to contribute maps, buildings, enemies, players, anything.
I really don't care if it uses pokemon sprites, so long as they're the newer ones I'm a-ok with them.
Eeeeew! IT LOOKS LIKE THE POKEMON GAMES! Flee! :psyboom:
