OK, so I am going to be getting a laptop for my birthday (Asus G73jh), and I thought I should get JC2 for it. I have the ps3 demo, which is amazing, and I was just wondering generally, is there any way you can get the movement control that you get on a console, on a pc? (Tilting less, is slower, vice-versa)
Get a USB gamepad. and why are you buying a laptop for games?
Buy an Xbox 360 wired controller and use that. Really, you shouldn't be buying a laptop for gaming.
Whats wrong with a gaming laptop? Seriously I use one, and aside from heat issues(Which can easily be solved with an external cooler) I can run almost every game I play on med/high with decent framerates. OT: Just grab a gamepad, wired 360 controllers are only like 15 bucks.
He never even said the words "gaming laptop".
He never even said the words "gaming laptop".
The two people, just above me, just said that laptops are not meant for gaming.
I'm responding to all three of you.
He never even said the words "gaming laptop".
He's buying a laptop with the intention of playing Just Cause 2.
The laptop he stated, the Ausus G73jh, is indeed, a gaming laptop Specs: i7 720QM(1.60GHz) 8gb RAM 500GB HDD 7200rpm ATI Radeon HD 5870
dat CPU
dat CPU
It's actually a good CPU apparently, works much better than any others at the same clock speed.

Yes, getting a laptop is a pretty shit idea because they cost alot
Thanks for comments peeps, but I have heard all this gaming laptop vs. desktop stuf before, I need a laptop. I didn't think of buying a controller. And eggnog was right it is a gaming laptop. Also how do you think it would handle JC2, with those specs. Also the A2 comes with 2 500GB hard drives, I'm replacing one with an SSD, which JC will be on.

Also, I'm not sure what tilting you're referring to, but at least for me, the KB&M controls for JC2 worked surprisingly well.
ATTENTION OP IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW THIS: JC2 REQUIRES fucking win7 or vista Trust me I bought it without reading the box and thought well hrm time to play after installing it. NEEDS NEW WINDOWS VERSION me: :frog: great now to shell out 200$ for a 50$ game, I guess I should upgrade anyway though.

I would bet my life savings that it doesn't come with XP as its stock OS.

He made no mention to what OS.

I could have, but I didn't.
I have a two year old G50v laptop that ran JC2 fine so I don't see any problems One thing to keep in mind with these laptops though is to reapply thermal paste every year or few months or so because they constantly run at hot temperatures Even though it'll void your warranty the asus warranty doesn't really cover much anyway and it'll keep your computer cool

Also, there have been some things that you have to update the bios. If I got the laptop now, would it come with the newest bios?
I do not think the Asus G73jh is that great. I've had to repair a few of them, the power supply doesn't last for shit it seems. Also I agree with one of the post above; "why laptop for gaming?" Do not worry about the bios normally you'd only flash it if you get new hardware or mess something up.
Hmm. idk the asus looks like it has amazing specs for its price. They have a really good warranty too.
dude, if you have a PS3 just use that controller, I've done it before but i cant remember what software i used, try this, its just a quick google http://news.filefront.com/how-to-use-a-ps3-controller-on-a-pc/
