Im having trouble with Half Life 2, and any other "source" engine games. Every time I try to load one up it says ENGINE ERROR and at the top of my screen, it says "Platform Error: bad module 'serverbrowser.dill' not loading". And the games were working a couple of days ago too! Please respond.

I did twice. I defragged twice.
delete serverbrowser.dll

Really, I need help with this. Its... kind of important. I can't tell you why cause im under oath. But, I just bought HL2 for gmod and it wont work!

Listen, guys. I did. And it didn't do anything. Nothings changed at all. And, I did delete it, and it popped back in the folder again. MAGICALLY If anyone has any other suggestions just let me know. And if anyone tries to scam me into DOWNLOADING something just forget it.
What happens if i just move that file over to the desktop "out of the folder" instead of deleting it. I actually deleted the serverbrowser.dll and then verifyied the game cache to get a new one. Still didn't work.

Yes, I did. And they were all for macs.
Let me tell you what I've already done. 1) Downloaded a new file to replace the bad one. 2) Reinstalled steam. 3) verified the game cache. 4)Defragged. 5)Yes, deleted the file... 4 times. 6) Used another game with the serverbrowser.dll to use in the Half Life 2 game. It didnt work.
i have been getting the same problem i got css and garys mod last night and tried to play it but they didn't work so i tried this morning and only garys mod worked
